True, not saying blacks play the victim with race but there very touchy around the subject, like yes slavery happened but anyone who’s under the age of 50 at least has not felt that same sort of pain, I understand racism still exists and it must be shit to deal with but don’t talk like other races don’t understand how it must feel there 2 different types of racism that the people of that generation went through it’s disrespectful to compare I think 🤔 💭

We SHOULD see race and differences and clear the air , talk it through , this don't say anything is not working , it just means the barriers and misunderstandings are hidden not eliminated , say how you feel and why you feel a certain way and maybe someone else will have a different side , open your mind , we are all the same we are also all different, lets enbrace that instead of pretending it doesn't exist. I don't usually comment but this is totally what the song/artist is trying to convey. Peace ✌

Naw taking sides as a gut reaction isn't the problem (if you're saying only agreeing with one side and saying the other one is racist and ignorant, then yeah I agree that makes someone part of the problem). Joyner gives us a side to relate to but then we hear some truth on each side and some racism on each side (both say you're blaming anyone but you're own race or that they're not racist). By the end of the video he wants you to see that both are twisted and we need to get past a lot of that. Skin is just one part of us, we have so much more in common than we do different.

Yeah, I stopped immediately after her smiling and approving of reaction to smacking off the white dude's hat like some kind of payback to today's generation; today's civility. And this is why the pettiness continues when she isn't involved with people far along in the evolvement are beyond this. Your mom doesn't appear to be that old but still immediately perpetuates (or doesn't degate) the real message behind the video. I had hopes she would give a response that was based on "constructive feedback" - giving explanation that wasn't superlative but that's not what she did. Instead she bought into her opinion that 1) contrasted the intent of the song and its purpose, and 2) propagates a singular side of the subject.
@andrendenum1
5 жыл бұрын
@Sergiodg2q3 or Sergio2q3 for gaming I was voicing my reaction to a reaction. My comments were mere opinions. My only request for constructive feedback is that I would hope people to go into a "first reaction" on a subject that has clearly two differentiated sides, to go from a viewtake that should be unbiased until the end and then making a clear, focused reaction opinionated to the other side without objectively hearing both sides then making a constructive and intuitive response.

To be honest. Dude you ruined the mystique of the video before you even played it. You told your mom that Joyner wasn't in the video. So she already knew that the white guy wasn't rapping. The whole point was to anger you then grab you in the end. Because most people would be under the impression that was white guy speaking in the beginning until it all came together. But the fact that you told her Joyner wasn't in it, you took that perspective away from your mom. Just saying.

Just so yall know there were white slaves, they were called "christian" under the code of law at the time, also the first man to be ruled to own another man in the court of law was a black man. There ARE two sides to a coin and it has nothing to do with "race" we are all of the human race just different ethnicities and cultures. Those in power want us to fight amongst each other so that the masses are easy to control. BTW when i say all lives matter it isnt against the black lives matter movement it is to say that we all matter and that we should be at peace with each other and not fighting. If we all sat down and had a peaceful chat I am pretty sure the majority would come to the conclusion that it is the ones in power that are creating this strife.

I want to say something here. I grew up as the only white family in a black neighborhood. I had black friends, Latino friends Asian, etc. my 2 bests growing up were black. Did I think of it in terms of, “oh yes. My best friend is a southwest BLACK baptist?” Hell no. They were my friends and I didn’t give 2 shits about color. BUT! Although I grew up in a black community, I have never and will NEVER make the claim that I know all about the black community. As a white person, there is NO way for any white person to make that kind of claim. I’ve been to black churches, black weddings, funerals, barbecues, dinner, black clubs. I know how it felt to be other, even though I wasn’t treated any different than anyone else. How would it feel the other way around? To be the only black in a white persons world. I bet it’s scary. These are folks who have in the past hung your daddy on your front lawn. Folks who whipped you for not moving fast enough. Who spit on you, threw rocks at you and your babies. My family wasn’t American a generation back. We are from Hungary. But that doesn’t matter does it? Look all I’m saying is we do need to be mindful of where the hurt and pain come from in the black community. Understand and make damn sure it never comes here again. The world as a whole need to also understand that in Africa it is going on RIGHT NOW! Why is nobody helping these people? Good God! ✌️

I grew up in a predominantly Hispanic city I’ve been jumped, refused service, and shot at; all because my skin tone even though my whole family had the skin tone I didn’t. I think it’s just the way the government keeps us divided by starting race wars by negative appropriation of the media we all just need to clutch up together and take the fight to them!

Not choosing sides of course. Most amazing music video in my opinion. But theres a secret message in there. The white dude screamed and yelled but never did anything physically. But when the black dude was rapping he slapped his hat off and flipped the table.

I can admit wen I'm wrong so I will say I apologize to that women for bout to say some stupid shit an she took the message at the end the way I did she was cool about it an I feel the same way race is an issue in this country an I feel the only way to break this crazy ugly cycle is to talk about it an be understanding to both sides an realize were not in the old days anymore an if it can be talked about it should an both sides should jus figure a way to live in respect an humble themselves to look past all the shit going on an realize that one actions has nothing to do with a race as a whole

Don't judge a book by its cover. A lot of innocent non-racist white people who might physically appear to be racist are constantly and ignorantly labelled as a racist despite lacking a racist bone in their body. It's all about hearing both sides of the story before you make any judgement. However, I am white, but can personally relate to both sides since I grew up in a poor multi-cultural neighborhood.

The point of the song and video is that both "characters" who were portrayed ,were spouting facts, stereotypes and extremes , were judging each other based off those criteria, instead of who the person actually is. It's saying we all come.from.different backgrounds, have different histories, and have different cultures, yet we are all human. You need to get to know a person before you judge them and before you believe the stereotypes and extremes that are out there. By siding with one character or the other, you are proving exactly what divides us as human.

With due respect, saw a perfect example here in this video of how the "cycle continues" as Joyner mentioned in the rap.

At least, in the video. The white guy at least pretended to be paying attention... And the reaction vids, tell the same story...

I hate it when they tell them that the white guy isn’t the rapper, the point of a reaction video is the surprise factor of the video

I think if you haven't told your mom about the rapper not being in the video her reaction would be better but still it was a good reaction.

@@Thatguyelijah I feel you. You're not the only one. Loads of people sharing it with a new person reacting have done the same. It gets me every time because this video by Joyner was my introduction to him. I had never heard of him and I was like "This dudes tripping...man he's got bars though" Instant fan by the end of the song lol, It's all good. It's love fam.
