The Monte Cristo Ghost Town hike is a nice easy hike in the North Cascades region of Washington. At around 9 miles round trip if you explore the entirety of the townsite and only 700 feet of elevation gain, this is a hike that is perfect for beginners, families and for those that want to learn more about the mining history of the place. Just off the Mountain Loop highway, you can explore an old mining town and see the remains of what once was a booming place.
Northwest Forest Pass is needed to park at the trailhead.
