I read his biography. I found it amazing! His whole life was just extraordinary! It's a shame the way he died! Thanks for sharing!

Just saw him in Red River with John Wayne, and could not have been more better cast. He was perfect for the part of Matt.

Montgomery was truly a unique human and captured the hearts and minds of so many people, despite all that he had going for him Montgomery was to be haunted by daemons that would eventually destroy this great talent.

+JAY OH that's actually incorrect. Monty was a child star on broadway productions. Brando didn't rise to the same level or stage until he was well into his young adult years. Clift did presage Brando.

Montgomery Clift had a vulnerability that his gay fans, of which there were hundreds of thousands, could instantly detect. Unlike say Rock Hudson who was a total "Type A" personality, Montgomery was a lot more subtle. Like some of the wealthier whites of that era and even today, he lived a very privileged life. Immensely more talented and good looking, actors of color then and unfortunately today, get all the brakes. Today your family pedigree still "trumps if you will", actors with far more capabilities. "Whoever said life is fair. It is anything but fair".
