These videos always motivate me more to hunt for obscure and unknown games when I visit a retro game con. There are so many games that I haven’t even heard of, but there could just be gold hidden amongst the mountain of games. I still love the PS1 and will never cease to. Great video once again.

Thank you so much! In compiling lists for videos, it blew my mind how many random weird games there are out there. And these are ones I am familiar with. Who knows how many good games I haven't seen for PS1! Thanks for watching!!

Best PS1 game no one talks about - Vagrant Story. The weapon crafting alone makes it a super unique classic, let alone the setting and aesthetics.

I have DEFINITELY talked about Vagrant Story before because I agree! People don't get it enough credit! It may be on my RPGs video linked in this one! I'm glad to see another person who appreciates that game, though!

Tenchu is the whole reason we got Sekiro. I loved all the Tenchus up to Wrath of Heaven and oddly enough you can occasionally hear the "Great Buddha Temple" track from WoH in random shows.

Holy smokes! I didn't know WoH in random shows was a thing! Got an example I can look up? lol I personally hear the everquest "level up" or "Ding" noise pretty often in random media!

@@pixelbrolee there was an old crappy ghost show called A Haunting I think, there's a clip of the dad leaving the house and the sink turns on

I think the most obscure game ive been able to find in called Baroque. Its a first person roguelike dingeon crawler with soulslike lore and kickass music. Its really odd and has a creepy asthetic. It was translated to english a few years ago.

Bro, you just skipped over the sequels. - Tomba 2 was actually _really_ good. The game was huge, there were so many quests, collectibles, secrets, quests, characters. There was a sort of crafing system for food, enhancements for weapons, the world regions change through game progress, you even get a magic system by the end, it was crazy. - Tenchu 2! You didn't even mention that one's sequel! it had 3 playable characters with unique missions and angles to the story, a bunch of unlockable items based on your performance, even different cosmetic sets of armor and it came with _a fricking map editor_ in a PS1 game! You could create maps, set different types of objectives, lay out enemies and their patrolling paths, it had insane replay value.

We're getting a Tomba remaster using the Carbon Engine from Limited Run Games, so there's that. Tenchu could do with a comeback, but as someone mentioned below, Sekiro kinda fills that gap and is from the from FromSoftware. What game is the first think that shows in your video, btw? That weird knight and sorceror? It looks familiar, but I really can't place it.

Gah. A tenchu announcement would be nuts. The first part is Blazing Dragons! It's odd but great!!!

@@pixelbroleeooooh, don't think I've played the game, but there was a goofy kids show, I'm assuming, based off it.
