That’s a terrible point. Black History Month was made to recognize the generations of AAs & their accomplishments that they attained while struggling with adversity. Morgan is one of those ppl that likes to live in a fantasy world where everyone has been set up equally and in reality that’s not the case. It’s funny bc the main people agreeing with his point are the ones that don’t have to worry ab their history being watered down or completely skipped over.

The problem is having “identity” come before “ability”. People need to stop giving a shit about what someone is, gender, race, whatever - and start looking at what each individual is able to do. Unfortunately we won’t get there until people stop looking at identity first and foremost.

And this is why they chose Morgan Freeman to play GOD in a Hollywood movie because he is a man who is wise beyond his years. He is under no illusion, he tells it how it is. Perception is not true reality. Anyone with a brain will seek to understand the meaning behind a concept, ideal, motif or belief. Believe whatever you want to believe just don’t make the mistake of accepting the programming that society projects onto you. Think for yourself. The greatest accomplishment that a human being can aspire to is to be remembered for who you are not what you are. When Morgan passes on, he will be revered as one of the greatest actors of all time. I think some people don’t understand what he meant by saying “Don’t talk about it”. He is simply saying don’t look for race or racism everywhere. For instance you have news titles like “Black man kills white man” or “White man kills black man” and so on, just driving the race war and making people think that the killing was racially motivated. I.e. putting the focus on the race while disregarding every thing else. So, instead of identifying people by their race, or assuming their motivations based solely on their race, we should judge them for the individual they are.

Nah. Stop talking about it means the media needs to stop perpetuating this racial divide. Not really don’t look for racism. Racism is looked down upon almost everywhere and as technology and communication expand more and more places are brought into the scrutiny of the public conglomerate. Hatred only exists in places where it is allowed to survive or where it is kept alive by those wishing to exploit falsified oppression or those manipulated into doing so unknowingly.
