I had the Tuono 660 heel guard installed by the dealer when i took delivery of my lava red rs660 it fits perfectly, no issues. Most dealers are aware if this issue and would probably offer you this option. 😊 love the RS660 she is simply awesome !

Thanks for the info and tutorial, just finished installing this on my 660, along with the Puig R Racer windscreen. My 1st little mods done to the bike.

Moto-R, What’s up bro! Great vid. The only thing is that your video came out a little late for me cause I already figured that out along time ago. I noticed that the Tuono 660 had that heel guard and the RS660 did not. I simply asked the dealer when my New 2022 Aprilia RS660 came in Apex Black if they can attach the Tuono heel guard to the swing arm so I didn’t have to deal with any issues. I’ve seen many videos of scuff marks and scratches and the clear tape, your mentioned, that it comes with and I was not happy with that. I do have to say the bike looks fantastic. Definitely a must have mod. On another subject/issue…Now the real question that I have for you and I have not figured out the exact way I’m gonna go about fixing this issue but I’d like you to shoot a video about possibly coming up with another great idea, as you usually do, and send it out to all of us. This idea has to do with the vibration coming from the mirrors on certain RPMs your vision becomes blurry through the mirrors and you can’t tell how close or how far another vehicle is so you are forced to turn around and look at that vehicle and while doing so that takes your sight away from looking in front of you which is very important. There has to be some way of using a technique to dampen the vibration just like the quad lock phone holder which has a dampener that you can purchase to prevent the vibration. Maybe there’s a rubber insert that could be placed between the bracket of the mirror and the body of the bike thick enough to absorb some of that vibration. Let me know your thoughts. I’m very interested to find out how to correct this issue which is the only issue I have with the bike even so minor as it is. Thanks again for the video be smart and ride safe👍🏼💪🏼💯

I’m looking for a solution for that as well bro. I need to take the mirrors apart and see exactly where a dampener could fit. Maybe a small rubber grommet may help. I’ll look into it. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for your reply so quick that was awesome. I think the vibration is going through the arm of the mirror or shaft which possibly has a little bit of flex in it. This might allow or enables the vibration from the bike where it’s attached to go up through the arm and shake the mirror. I’m thinking, either the shaft has to be reinforced or a rubber grommet like we mentioned at the base of the connection, or up behind the mirror inside the housing somewhere. Please let us us know what you find out. I definitely want to get this resolved. Thank you for your feedback as well. 👍🏼💪🏼🔥

I see you also have owned a 2019 r6. How would you compare the rs 660 to the r6 I’m in the market for my next bike and have narrowed it down to the two. Is the difference in speed noticeable to the rs 660? Is the maintenance for the two similar or is the R6 cheaper to maintain.

I’ve owned a 2009 R6. It was definitely cheaper to maintain I would guess parts would be a lot cheaper and more accessible. R6 revs up a lot higher and has more horsepower. Seating position is way more aggressive too.

It was really windy that day and it almost got blown off a couple times. So I’d rather have a helmet on the ground then lose 600 dollars on a damaged Arai.
