At the same time, the last one.
December is the month when every year I get on a plane and fly as far away as I can. To meet and explore distant countries, get some sunshine. To reset the mind and recharge batteries before the coming winter.
Plans for January, February, March are ambitious and since New Year's Eve we start with marathon of movies in winter, my favorite scenery.

In the meantime I invite you for a screening of quintessence of bushcraft and trapper's cuisine which I served during camping on the edge of mountains glade.
I started the day early in order to have enough light to record high quality video. I planned a short hike on a mountain trail from which I quickly turned into a forest road and then headed to my destination.
The scenery offered me a beautiful and diverse forest, rich in beech, fir, juniper and birch trees.
I proceeded to build a camp. This time I decided to set up a tarp in the classic way between two medium sized trees. I oriented the open part of the shelter to the southwest to maximize the sunlight during the short November day.
After setting up camp, I quickly tackled gathering firewood, which was abundant throughout the area.
I took a few sips of cherry brandy from the flask.
I lit the fire using a flint and resin wood.
It was time for the cooking part. With the help of a campfire stand from / karibou.outdoorspl I could not resist advertising this ingenious invention!
This time I opted for classic trapper food:
High quality beef steak topped with raw red peppers and pan-fried potatoes. All seasoned with salt and pepper. The dish came out superbly. Quintessence of forest cuisine.
After a hearty meal it was time to relax by the campfire and a kerosene lamp.
On the next day, contrary to weather forecasts, there was no rain. The sun quickly came out from behind the clouds. Good sign. Thanks to that I could prepare tea and breakfast on the campfire in comfortable conditions.
Continuing the traditional cuisine, I served beans in tomato sauce and tea with a stock made of spruce branches.
It was time to put out the campfire, clean up the camping area, and fold up the tarp.
