If/when you make the kit with the wooden nuts and screws, I would absolutely buy one!

Looks super handy Paul. While I have no intentions of hand-cutting joints, the tips on the sliding dovetails were great as I do have ideas for using those in the future.

You say you have no intension of hand cutting joints but you sure did giggle with glee with your new handplanes. Give it time ;)

Love the Lambs tongue feature, just makes it 'Just so'. I've had my bench top vice for many years but with dog holes for hold fasts. I think I will make a modification and add a couple of Match fit tracks to make it even more functional. Thanks Paul.

I adore the gramercy holdfast I have for my regular bench is just too dang long for the height of a moxon vise, but I'll admit I'm tempted to add a MFT-type doghole layout for quick square alignment of stock. Timbecon just added some new benchdog clamps and metal dogs that make the combo of track+dog holes pretty tempting!

That was the bane of my Daily Dovetail a year or so ago, the back pain from hunching over for so long. Definitely on the to do list. Box at the end looked great too 👍

It can't have been a year or so ago that you were doing those?! You only finished that up a couple of months... right?!

@@TheWoodKnight to be honest, I'm being _extremely_ generous in my time telling, it's 2 years ago now that I started it. :/

I'd buy a pair of screws too! You can't buy these anywhere right now.

Very nicely done, Paul. Any particular reason the uprights don't go all the way through to the back jaw? For the quarter circle of the recess for the clamps/holdfasts, the forstner should work pretty well, too. Cheers, David

Thanks! Legs didn't really *need* to go all the way to the back jaw, but mostly because the board I glued up wasn't wide enough and with how cold it has been I didn't want to wait even longer for another part to dry! Hah, I didn't even think of using a forstner bit, that would have saved so much time - I really need to replace the sandpaper on the spindles!

That's a really good idea on your part to produce those screws. If you find the right marketing process, you should do very well. Q. I see some who put dog holes in the bench and moving jaw of the Moxon vice. I like this idea but I have concerns about pulling apart the bench top. Do you have any thoughts on this. Thank you

That turned out great love the timber screws. I’ll purchase a set when your ready to sell. Also where did you buy the personalised decal for your fence I’ve been looking but not a lot of luck Thanks

I made the decals myself! My wife has a little craft grade paper/vinyl cutter back when she used to do some paper craft. I was able to convince her I wouldn't break the machine and cut the logo out of vinyl :)

I've been watching some of your older vids and it appears you've been looking at selling the vice kit for a while. Why don't you give the kit a cool 80s throwback name and video edit? 😉 Moxinator 10000?

I’ve never understood why people don’t just build the bench higher in the first place? I must be missing something. I love the idea of a moxon Vise but I would just build it into a higher bench. Great video though

It's a balancing act - "standard" bench height is a bit low for fine joinery on boxes, but bring it up to moxon height and its too high for using a handplane on or using power tools (ie router) with.
