Mozart and poop, a love story.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a musical genius. He also loved poop jokes. From baby mozart all the way to the mature Mozart of Requiem, the man’s music and personal life are filled with scatological references-that means poop and butt jokes are everywhere. Take a tour of Mozart’s canons and symphonies as well as personal correspondences to get to the bottom (lol) of the butt jokes. Magic Flute… more like Magic Poot!
What explains it? Did Mozart have Tourettes? Did he have coprophila? Was he stuck in infancy? Or was he just an overall prankster? There may be no definitive answer, but why not use the opportunity to discuss some philosophy? Included in the video you’ll find discussions from Slavoj Zizek’s The Parallax View, Hegel’s Dialectic and Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Investigations.
Mozart’s mischief is what makes him so great. It wouldn’t matter if you were a lowly peasant or the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, if he had a problem with you, he’d look you squarely in the face and say “Kiss my butt.”
