Those Mac wrench holders are awesome. Being a mobile service tech where the job site is never close to the truck, it makes it very easy to bring the entire set of wrenches. The Mac ratcheting wrenches with bolt stop are a game changer for me. Love my Ko-Ken and RBRT tools as well thanks to your channel. It’s interesting that you and CP the tool Addict have differing opinions on the Milwaukee line up.

The box end MAC wrenches are based on a facom design (both companies are owned by stanley black & decker). The ratcheting wrenches are made by Hi-Five it's a taiwanese company founded by the original developer of the gearwrench. The hold tons of patents. It's about as good as it gets with ratcheting wrenches. The mechanismn inside is solid, symetrical and wedges the paw against the casing.

@@MrSubaru1387 I'm not 100% on this, but I think the latest Tone combination, DBE/DOE wrenches (the non-ratcheting stuff) might actually be made by Tone. I say that because the surface finish differs from the ratcheting stuff, which we know comes from one or two Taiwanese OEMs.

After watching a few videos but nothing exactly on what I was thinking about, I also went for it this year and got the Series 14 combinations, since in general Stahlwille videos are positive. I got the full set. Now in your video here, I see what the 14 series are: A longer combination of the 13 series and the medium offset Corona 23 series. I like them. I ordered from Germany and the set was surprisingly inexpensive. My other metric combo wrenches are a Snap-on Flank-Drive Plus set which has the standard shallow offset. I don't know about you professionals but sometimes I need two wrenches of the same size, like for a locking nut on top of another nut. However this way the sets are not simply duplicates, so the applications range is a little broader. I like that the Stahlwilles have smooth jaws for when I'm worried about the Snap-ons with their teeth, being too aggressive and the medium offset when I want deeper reach than what normal combination wrenches offer. Now thanks to this video, I see that I don't need the Coronas at all. If I someday get the Stabil I would have all options covered with only the 14 series I now have. I have to say I do find the Stahlwille a tighter fit than my Snap-ons. The set I got (6-22mm complete!) came in a VERY tough/durable roll. Reminds me of some of my motorcycle jackets. I do have to say those MAC wrench holders are very nice looking and seem very practical. Happy New Year and best wishes for a productive and safe 2021 for us all. About the only way it could be worse than 2020 is if a large asteroid hit the planet. At this point I would be disappointed at the news, but not surprised! Cheers : )

Check out how thin the ring on these spanners are! I don’t own sets, i bought as i needed and found them thinner than all others. To get to some awkward nuts or bolts, too close to obstructions, these are the ones to have. Also weight-wise, you get the lightest here. Working above yourself, these pay for themselves if you cannot use a rattlegun. Strength is good too, yes i got all brands, but pick these first.
@ShadowBoxer

@@ypeveldhuis4527 Hey. I agree with everything you mentioned here. I did notice the thinness of the ring walls. I recently was using them and found that the thin wall allowed access were another wrench with would hang up on flanges etc. I am about to make a video where I replace my Oil Sending Unit on my Ford Explorer. It's up above the oil filter. The 21mm will work but the space to access the part is quite narrow inbetween other components. I want to see if the thinner beam will help with swing in the tight space. And this job will be mostly done on my back so again, I agree with you. Cheers! : )

Thanks for the review. I love your channel, picked up a few tips about Subaru vehicles. I do agree that you don't have to be a one brand man, it's pretty much which tool is best for the job no matter the brand as long quality is there. I have used Ko-Ken for years and very happy with the brand, I also use Snap-on, Sidchrome, Facom, Hazet, Stahlwhille. Does any one remember Proto? I still have a set of ring spanners - Professional 1061M (my favourite ring spanners set) When talking about Sthalwille please don't go past the Open Box 15 series, which is the extended open end ring spanner. My favourite tool would be Knipex Cobra 8551250 AF (excellent pliers for a spring loaded hose clamps)

Rear diff fluid definitely wouldn't affect being able to turn the steering wheel. A rear diff *failure* could make the car feel like it was being yanked all over the road, as different broken-off teeth and metal chunks get jammed into the remaining gears. You would feel an inconsistent tramlining sensation, like having to constantly correct to drive straight. But I would agree with MrSubaru, your issue sounds like it's in the power steering system.

Snap On FDP open end is a hard bite open end , GREAT for stuck or rusted bolts . I have all of them . The Wright 2.0 wrenches are the best for auto shop work IMO. If it's the sensor between the turbo and air intake how do I go about removing that? I was able to remove top bolt but the bottom one is next to impossible. Mostly putting that back in... remove the intake? Or is there a special tool? Any tips on diagnostic for the home mechanic? I have 2 favorite tools for 2020. Could nominate more just to have 5, but these two have impressed me. Rarely does a day go by when one or both aren't being utilized: 1) Foredom TX (1/3hp continuous) flexshaft grinder. Gobs of torque. It's a rotary tool, not to be confused with Dremel-like toys, that's capable of performing multiple tasks in minimal time with an uncommon degree of control. Many folks use the tool for porting/polishing heads and the like. A variety of handpieces are available - I have several - that range from a quick-change, to a handpiece tipped with a 5/16 3-jaw chuck, to a heavier duty option capable of running 1/4" shanks. 2) EZ-Red rechargeable neck light. AFAIK, Snap-on was first to offer a neck light. The EZR is similar, albeit a bit brighter without the batteries in the back that can get a little warm. I hang it around my neck when walking into the shop and it stays there all day. Light where you want it without having to strap something to your head. Absolutely love it! Even bought a battery-powered one in case the charge runs out.

I'm not a mechanic but I do wrench pretty much every weekend on various bikes and cars and I've never encountered an imperial nut/bolt, ever. I though imperial sizes were stopped being used on american cars in the mid 80's? I think Harley is the only manufacturer still using them, no? I think they are still used in construction, but that's a different ballgame.

Also, Snap On actually makes most of their stuff in China and then assembles in America. See Snap On/ Daytona Jack lawsuit for a great example. Snap On sold their jack for $800 and Harbor Freight is selling the Daytona (the same jack built in the same factory by the same workers as proven by the lawsuit which Snap On dropped once those facts came to light) for $250 initially. Snap On is "Globally sourced parts assembled in America" which means Made in China and a tienie tiny factory in America for show

China the communists just promptly whooped our asses at being “capitalists” and put high output and dollars for the top tier people above all else. Your favorite tool manufacturing countries are certainly shared by me I will admit lol.
