THANK YOU :) I bought this spiralizer and was anxious to use it. The directions that came with it weren't clear, and I couldn't figure out how to use the darn thing. I asked Amazon for a return label. I went to Wally and bought one, but it was crappy. I got the Mueller back out determined to figure it out. Then I had an ah-ha moment and thought about a youtube vid to show us dummies how to use it...... and now I love it!!!

After I got my SpiralUltra put together (thank you video!!), I practiced on all the blades with cukes, zucchini, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Everything worked like a charm. The unit stayed attached to my countertop, the blades were easy to change out, and the unit was easy to operate. I love it!!

Great little video and very helpful. I agree with others that the instructions that come with the unit can be described in various ways: minimal, confusing, worthless, and non-existent. I mulled over it for a while and figured out most of it but the video definitely helped. Now I am looking forward to using it. Your delivery was good, if not polished but that was endearing and made you relatable. Thanks for posting!

Your demo convinced me to buy this spiralizer and I am so happy I did. I have been very happy with it. And yes, I too was puzzled why no instructions came in the box. I'm glad I had your video handy for review! My suggestion to Mueller's product development/marketing team is to include a manual for operation that is easy to understand, and with it add some recipe ideas so that customers can be inspired to continue using it and share their positive experience with others. There's no better marketing than word of mouth.

Thank you for a very fun and enlightening video. The images in the instructions are so faint you can barely see them. Who in the world would create a product instruction and use the same color background - LOL. This Mueller works much better than the older vertical model I have (which had no container and the veggies fall all over the counter because you can't get a plate or bowl under the spiralizer), also much smaller than the old one.

well thank the Lord you made this video, cuz I just opened my box and found basically NOTHING as far as directions on how to use this thing! had no idea you could put the blades in 2 ways! maybe I didn't look at the pictures close enough, but I was thoroughly confused LOL. I found out the hard way this thing isn't for tomatoes - OMG what a mess! but I'll figure it out. i think it's going to be good once I get used to it.

I had the same issue! Trying to look at the pictures on the box and the black and white pics in the single brochure weren't 'cutting it' (pardon the pun). Still and all, the spiked thing to hold the zucchini in place didn't do a great job, and I had to end up resorting to my 5.00 cheapie spiralizer to finish. I'll be getting a refund and maybe find a simpler one.

I had the same problem! The pictures included in the box were of no use; the directions as to how the blades should be placed for spiralizing the veggies were the equivalent of no directions. Then I remember KZitem - Thank you so much. The directions were so clear and my zucchini noodles came out o.k. I do agree that the veggie holder does not do a very good job - you really have to press down hard! Get the Meuller book on Amazon , free on prime loans and only $3.57 to buy on Kindle- lots of recipes and information as to which veggies are a no-no (tomatoes being one of them for spiralizing.)

CJ Kearns I ended up sending it back and bought the Scharfpro verticle one. It is still difficult to hold the zucchin and turn, but worked better than the horizontal one. I think my little 5 dollar hand one so far is the best, but it does waste quite a bit, as once it gets close to the end, there is still about 2 inches of zucchini left, but you can't turn it anymore.

Most functions work BUT you have to be tolerant of messy spirals leaking out from the tip area of the catcher bin - poor design lets spirals exit the device between the top of the catcher and the bottom of the case and lay on your counter top. How did this design get approved with that obvious flaw? I tried it and asked for a refund after frustration with the poor design of the catcher bin. The top crank made sense, your pushing down while cranking keeps the thing in place on the counter. I pass my end scraps over the mandolin blade carefully, they slice thin and cook just fine in with the spirals.
