The night that Democratic President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, his special assistant Bill Moyers was surprised to find the president looking melancholy in his bedroom. Moyers later wrote that when he asked what was wrong, Johnson replied, “I think we just delivered the South to the Republican party for a long time to come.” It may seem a crude remark to make after such a momentous occasion, but it was also an accurate prediction. To understand some of the reasons the South went from a largely Democratic region to a primarily Republican area today, just follow the decades of debate over racial issues in the United States.

I considered myself a Democrat for 12 years. I always knew the racist history of the Democrat party, but was taught (the lie) about the "big switch", where (supposedly) the party founded on ending slavery suddenly, magically became the resists racists. Always thought it was odd that anytime i had questions about how the switch happened, Democrat sympathizers would discourage me from looking into it further... Took 12 years for me to finally break-free of that democrat echo-chamber and learn the truth - that there never was a switch at all - democrats just began accusing Republicans of everything THEY (the democrats) were doing. If you pay attention today, you'll notice it yourself. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. they accuse the right of doing, is exactly what the left is REALLY doing - fooling most of us. Abraham Lincoln is by the far the most important person in history. He held this country together and freed slaves from bondage. The British ended slavery trade as much as they could in the Pacific but as we still have slavery today, they have to be commended for their victory. On the Dark Web, the country prior known as Libya, men are sold to Saudi Arabia. They are castrated prior to arriving in those Middle Eastern countries so they cannot reproduce. It astounds me that Black Americans are terribly angry about something that happened nearly 200 years ago yet could give a toss of the Black People of today that are captured, castrated, then sold into bondage. Why? Why are they not concerned about those people in slavery of today?

ESG requires that companies place "socially and environmentally progress-oriented ideas" (wokeism) into their ads and social outreach to obtain a higher score and get more funding from investors. Companies who bend to that requirement when their customers are already tired of the progressive agenda for the sake of money are going to face backlash, and rightly so. We learned this in school when I was growing up. All through elementary to high school (80s-90s). We learned this kind of information...we learned about all sides. It's how we can look at us as a nation now and see what we achieved from the past, based on the rights and promises granted from the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and The Constitution. It gave a sense of pride in our country and ourselves. And it was so fun to learn!! Painful at times, angering at others, but learning about our entire history as a united country always enlightened us to better understanding of ourselves, our nation and our world. That's why everything going on right now is so frustrating, terrifying and annoying. I'm trying to look at this current situation in our culture as growing pains. That we will come out of this stronger and better as a society. They say it's always darkest before the dawn. I'd say we're riding the dark side at the moment, but there is light, we just have to fight to get it back.

LBJ passing those civil rights measures wasn’t entirely due to altruistic purposes, as he had opposed similar measures in the past. Biographers also say that he was an overt racist. I think he simply wanted to further Kennedy’s vision, and to add to his base of supporters. After his meeting with MLK jr in 63, he must’ve observed how big the civil rights movement grew and saw that it wasn’t going anywhere. He was a complicated man. If you think you would smoke Jessie Owens, he ran a 10.2 in the 100m which was a record. The surface he ran on was cinders from burnt wood with Dassler leather shoes. (Look them up from 1939) The record fell a couple times after the 60's and stands at 9.58. A time set by Usain Bolt. If Jessie ran on today's tracks in todays shoes, it's very possible that he would set a new record.

@@SilverJay7Democrats are only consistent about Abortion. All their other positions change with the blow of the wind. How fast did they flip on immigrants when they were sent to their safe heavens away from the swine? They don't want more Cubans here because Cubans largely vote republican. And their push for immigration is to put them in the census so they can get more seats in congress in areas that they already win to expand the government in their direction to hold more of a majority and let large companies exploit their cheap labor to avoid paying Americans large salaries. Ever seen a welfare application that asks if you're a migrant worker? Yeah, they're making the American tax payer pick up the slack that the corporations don't pay for jobs that we want but can't get because they don't want to pay us fairly and then they claim we aren't willing to do those jobs. Democrats act like they want Americans to have livable wages while they give away our livable wage jobs to migrants that underbid us and then we have to pay them with our taxes with the left over jobs that don't pay livable wages. It's such a farce that it blows my mind how the other side can't see what they're doing and how hard they're abusing all of us and gaslighting us as if we're the selfish uncaring ones.
