absolutely flies with the supercharger - got a stock NC 2.0L & would like to upgrade the power - how do you find the driving characteristics of the supercharger?

Cookie Monster - Cookies & Autos hi, it’s fantastic low down below 3000rpm it’s fine mid range it’s brilliant really kicks on and full power awesome. Normal driving round town is no trouble at all.

@@mx5gaz709 sounds good... had turbo (not mx5) before and i would want to keep it super linear and responsive this time.... is the throttle response and accuracy as good as stock with the supercharger on?

Cookie Monster - Cookies & Autos yea I can’t fault it. Best way to describe it is it feels exactly the same but imagine a bigger engine up front.

Thanks for your feedback. As the video says if you want the times then time it yourself, I didn’t want to post any unscientific times because of the variants involved and it’s not fair on the different tuning company’s involved, it’s just for fun.

Aitelhous kamal I loved the 200 kit, did about 15,000 trouble free miles including the ring and many track days plus loads of road trips. I just got hooked on a supercharger otherwise wouldn’t have changed it.

Hi, I'm driving (with a smile) my NC 2.0 MK2 Sports-shift (automatic) with BBR 200 upgrade. Bit more power is always welcome, but a turbo kit (even BBRs) is 4 me not worth the €€€, because the Sports-shift goes to max 6.800 rpm, so most power is not usable . Is the SC powerband a better match 4 me you think? (Again, power peak at 7.900 rpm is wasted on a gearbox that max out at +/- 6.800rpm, so a flatter power curve is what I am looking for Thanks!🛡️

I also have a 2.0 NC '06 with identical compression on all cylinders. Can it take the supercharger on stock internals without throwing a rod?

Bertie G Yes no problem, blink motorsport who fitted the charger says it’s fine upto 300, after that you need to start looking at internals. I know a few people who are running just over 300 on both charger and turbo with standard internals. With all NCs as you will know critical to keep an eye on oil level.

Lorenzo Clara I’m sorry, I don’t quite understand your question. Reliability has not been an issue, I do sprints, track days and weekend driving

@@mx5gaz709 that's what I wanted to hear. I was wondering if it's possible to save a little bit by picking components one by one, for example is not hard to find a second hand rotrex for around 600€ here. Brackets etc can be made.. only the tubing for the NC are one off

Lorenzo Clara yea I guess you could. Mine was what’s called a turn key conversion, so dropped off and picked up a week later all done and dusted, it’s the most expensive way but I haven’t got the technical capability of both buying the parts and fitting. I wish you good luck if that’s what you do and let me know how you get on

I’m on the act 6 puck, thing its a classed as a stage 3. Bit heavy round town bites really hard. This videothough is when I had an exedy, didn’t like that at all
