My own experience of doing Vipassana Meditation Course in Thailand.
There are few Buddhist Temples around Thailand where foreigners can join Vipassana, In Koh Samui, Surat Thani, Chiang Mai.
I made my way to Wat Pa Tam Wua Forest Monastery in Mae Hong Song Province that is close to the border of Myanmar.
They welcome everyone who would like to learn about Buddhism, do daily spiritual practices and become more mindful, focused and happy human being.
Wat Pa Tam Wua Monastery provides all guests with accommodation, balanced vegan food, bedding and white clothes, all free of charge. The costs are covered by donations and all the work is done by volunteers.
Here you will learn some of the essentials: Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha.
At the temple monks will explain one of the Mindfulness techniques they actively using in the monastery: "Practice Mindfulness in bow down three times".
This is unforgettable experience. I'm definitely doing it again next year for 10 days.
