A got the Habit to and the best way to get useful out of it is to jam with it and record everything, and then sample it, chop it, mangle it, and now you get a new world of texture and unspected sound to you production. Very great creative tool. Nice video, thank you Ricky!

One of the coolest pedals ever imo. Can't bring myself to spend $400 on a pedal though so I made an Ableton rack to replicate it, for us poor folks

First time I heard this pedal I thought someone shrunk down Knobs and trapped him in there. Then I learned that he now works for Chase Bliss and helped design this crazy little box! First the Shallow Water now this... :-D Also, +1 for Memento! Man that's a throw back.. didn't think you were that old! :-p There was this special cut of that film that played it in reverse.

Your music has really seen an improvement in these few years I've been following you. The lofi house stuff was already great from the start, don't get me wrong, but it feels like your sound has really matured and adopted a unique character! I'm really looking forward to your next release!

On a side note, the Launch Pad mini is the best MIDI controller ever for Ableton. Just plug and play, and it maps knobs and everything with no loaded scripts or anything needed. Freaking genius, it's my main controller as a result.
@ringtangting

What do you use it for? What does it map the knobs to on default? Been thinking about a little controller for Ableton.
@landonh3535

@@ringtangting I use it as my MIDI controller for Ableton. Drum pads, keys and the knobs automap to the Ableton plugins as well as some 3rd party. Any plug that does not map is really easy to quickly manually do.

I'm glad to see I"m not the only one who talks to my Habbit when I use it! I'm glad you made a video about it, its been a ton of fun. I actually just picked up a OBNE Dweller which repeats and phases, going to try linking them both together and see what interesting patterns I get out of it!

Great presentation. Chase Bliss pedals are maybe a bit more expensive but their features are amazing. Not yet owning a Habit I still enjoy my DarkWorld and Mood pedals.

After a week with my I put it down for a while, even thought about selling it, but ended up using it way more, the more I got used to it's quirkiness. I like the reverse side of the stepped speed for e. piano types stuff; really nice high pitch reverse sprinkles that make for great ear candy. Also drum machines through it all day (also reverse lol) with dry kill! For guitar, its replaced my mood - I like the latch function for micro-looping a la mood, or hold down the left switch which turns the scan knob for you! So good!

Love the reference to Bastl Thyme and I have felt strong comparisons. I have both and use them for slightly different things but totally related. Haven't heard anyone else make that connection yet in these Habit videos

Thank you so much for this man. I was trying to debate ro myself why I needed a Guardian of the Wurm by KMA. Nothing wrong with that pedal, but I already have the Wurm, so it would be the Wurm with a noise gate included.. yeah was about to buy that.. But wasn't really happy, you know.. Then I found your video. . I have always wanted a blooper or maybe the Mood... didn't even know of this one, so now I am reaching for my credit card, and for the first time in a while I got a huge smile on my face. So yeah, thank you. ❤

Dood, I gotta say, I just got a sub (again, had to get rid of my other one because my previous space was too small). Your music sounds even better, it's like adding a fourth dimension to your videos! I feel like I have to go back and watch the all your videos again. LOL To anyone reading, don't sleep on getting a subwoofer, I forgot how much I was missing by not having one for the last couple years!

Quick question Enrique - how do you find the Habit different/more usable than the Microcosm for similar examples? i have the Microcosm, and want to use IT on everything if i can, but is the Habit the one to have? 🤔🤷♂️ Great fun hanging with you in your flow, as usual 🙏🙏🌌

Think chase bliss will ever get into eurorack? I’d be all over that. I know you can assign cv’s to things but it’d be cool to have control over all of those parameters from different modulation sources.

Hey Ricky! Thank you for the awesome video! I use my Habit as an fx send with a Model 1 but for some reason it picks up A LOT of noise when being fed by a stereo input (being a mono pedal does not help I think). Which cables do you use in the video? TS or a TRS splitter? Thanks!
