In morning, you may have seen that every place in SR mostly quiet, just because most of the tourists are going to see the temples. And in Cambodia we have thousands of temples for visitors. And in the afternoon or evening ppl will gather and enjoy around Pub street.

I had a chance to visit this historical with my family way back in late 60s. The town was very quiet and peaceful with a few tourists and hotels so we had to stay at the Budhist temple around the area. Only memory lives on. There were mostly dirt roads around town and most of the temple complexes remained wild and natural with many forest in the surroundings . Most of my family members did not survive the genocide there. I left the country in 1979 after living through hell on earth with killing madness under evil Pol Pot killing madness. My first return trip from US,was in 1995 and the country was still in ruins from long civil war and families were torn apart. Luckily, I found my sole surviving sister who still lives there. Cambodia has come a long way since then and people are moving on with their lives as usual. Be mindful. Be kind whenever possible as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Happy and safe travels from a genocide survivor ✌️

My condolences to you. I learned so much my time spent in Cambodia, The hardship the Cambodian people went through was extreme. I cant even imagine. Glad you were reunited with your sister and good to see Cambodia is advancing. Reading this from a survivor sends chills down my arms. Thank you for your message!

@@EricGoesTo Hands off these international chain companies like Starbucks. They exploit their employees, sell their coffee at completely overpriced prices even in the poorest countries and litter everything with their plastic. The only ones who get richer every year are their shareholders. Support the local, individual coffee shops instead. Thanks.

I will be traveling from Bangkok to Siem Reap in June. I am a U.S. citizen, and I understand that I can receive a VISA on arrival. Questions: 1. How much is the VISA if arriving by plane? 2. Can the VISA be paid for with credit card? 3. Do I also need to bring a passport sized photo in addition to my passport, or will the immigration officer simply copy my passport?
@EricGoesTo
4 ай бұрын
Hi, The visa is $30 USD you will need to pay in cash they don't accept card payment. In some cases they try to over charge you $40 beware its only $30. You wont need a passport photo its just a card that will be placed in your passport, although i always travel with 1 set of passports photo anyways as rules are subject to change, but as of this time no passport photo is needed. Enjoy Siam Reap its an amazing place :)

From the time spent there i learned that Pub Street has it all from laid back rooftop bars to rowdy clubs with beers starting at just $0.75 USD and cocktails starting at $2.50. It has a little something for everyone! Overall fun small-town vibes 😃

How sad. This guy is documenting his travels for himself, friends and family and anyone else who’s interested. You’re clearly not. Pro tip, you can simply ( with one little click) exit the video and go on with your day. Instead, you’ve fed the anger and frustration feel inside and made it stronger. You’ve poisoned yourself and made this comment section uglier. Don’t be a troll man. Just click away …why did you even click on it in the first place? Ps, this has NEVER been done before. This person. This place. Absolute first time. I hope you find peace man. Shift your perspective and the world shifts around it. Up to you.
