@@jiapatel4578they’re not giving an excuse for it, they’re just saying it how it is. Steve is in love with op and it’s obvious, that doesnt mean that what he’s said about women and bisexual people are okay. Thing is with both op and Steve is that they only have bi-phobic queer friends and don’t fully know that bisexuality is okay because of their upbringing. That’s why Steve acted that way, A- He loved/loves op and/or B- the only other gay people they’ve ever been friends with are biphobic, so Steve probably thought it was normal.

I'm Bisexual too, even though i didn't have a relationship with a girl before. I heard the most biphobic things from people that were queer, trans, and it hurt me so much... Nowadays I don't care for sexuality, i am in a straight relationship with a man that accepted my bisexuality and we plan to marry soon. I stopped saying that I'm bisexual to people because it always brings up questions about everything, and most of the time i don't even look at other people, i have eyes only for my man, and thatsy what matters

sadly it isn't just the idea of a "straight passing relationships." Gay/Lez people tend to fear getting involved/attached to someone who is Bi/Pan because there is a "Larger probability that they will cheat one you" because they have more "options".... because trust is a hard thing to give, and communication is greatly lacking.... Being Ace is even more fun because the physical part is soooo important to some people - so dating as a Panromantic Ace person is a f'ing trip.

We still haven't gotten rid of that lizard brain reaction to hating someone different. It doesn't matter how they're different. No this is a bi problem, I’ve had many people tell me that I’m just straight, they’ll completely ignore previous sapphic experiences that I’ve experienced and treasure. But girls are cruel too, they think I’m just there to use them for… dancing. Or everyone assumes that I like … group activities, that’s not the case I want to date one person at one time but I don’t really care about what is in their pants, I just want to love

I’ve experienced this toxicity for being bisexual too. 😢 It’s hard enough trying to figure out yourself and what you’re truly attracted to in a partner, without others labelling your journey as “just a phase”. In college I wondered if it was just exploration and curiosity on my part, along with the “Madonna-whore” complex I was facing too. Luckily, I have a male partner who understands all of me, and even after a decade together we can still joke about which hot girl we’d flirt with when we’re waiting for our takeout. 😂 If someone needs to put down your sexual journey, leave them: there’s enough hate in the world, you don’t need to have in yours. 🩷💙💜🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Biphobia is a real thing. So is the sexism. The way they acted is %100 something toxic happening in the LGBT. Some of the gays act just as terrible as the Bible thumpers because the bottom line is that hates a circle. You can go so far left you turn right 🤷

Bisexuality : when you don’t feel comfortable coming out to your family because they might be homophobic. To your gay friends because they might call you a traitor And both of them might tell you it’s just a phase. Sadly this is a very common issue that happens with some LGBTQ people. Where they dont Bi or a different orientation as something that is valid. It also sounds like ops friend might have been in love with him or because they were co dependent on him. But it also sounds like it might be a phase for the friend. That hes projecting some insecurity. There is a lot of negative vjews on bi like people thinking your just gay if your with your own gender or say your just straight if your with someone of the opposite gender. Then there is the misconception being bi means you need both. That is its own thing. There are bi polly people but not every bi person is polly.

What in the name of God is biphobia?! And why would a queer person ever say that being bisexual isn't allowed?
@fishbowl5308

Biphobia is what happens when a gay person has the same narrow mindset of a very conservative person. You can only be attracted to one or the other not both is just the same as men can only like women and women can only like men. It's quite funny considering what the b in lgbt stands for. These are often the same people who call you homophobic for being straight or not being a huge advocate. They don't realize they are massive hypocrites and that acceptance isn't showing huge support it's just not caring who some decides to bang.
