I don’t usually comment on videos and stuff but I have to say, I LOVE how you used your space! You did a really good job on minimizing furniture, etc and still having a visually appealing space. Gurlll your apartment they gave is NICEEEE alot of other videos I saw from other ALTs didnt really have nice apartments given to them and which prefecture they were placed in especially in the rural areas countryside/“inaka” so i think but I wish to become a JET later once I get a bachelors degree

Since your CO found your place did they give you options to choose from, did you get a chance to see it or get some sort of tour of it before moving in or were you just stuck with it and saw it for the first time when you moved in ?

I’m crying because my rent is 4k I live in North Carolina I was living with my friend she left for jet program already I was finishing college so I won’t be going and I can’t afford to spend so much money I’ve been living here 3 months paying such high rent and I need the money in my savings for Japan so I’m moving in with my parent temporarily I heard u only pay from like 80 to like at most 700 dollars on Japan apartments based of what area your places in I can’t even believe how cheap they are😅

I plan on moving to Japan next year after I get my bachelor’s degree! I’ve been to Japan before but only for a week. How did you feel about permanently (or temporarily) moving to Japan? How do you feel now? I remember that I felt safe and at home over there although it was my first time.

It depends on where you live, how far your schools are, how big your town is, etc. I didn't have a choice and was given a car (but it was the best decision for where I lived). I'd say get your IDP before you leave and then scope it out when you get there whether you'll need a car or not! Good luck
