You speaking TRUTH. If someone can't make it off $150k/yr then there's a money management problem.

150k works in 95% of areas but not everywhere surprisingly. NYC? I know rent for a solid 2/2 is 4500. They pay 30-40% in taxes too. so there are a few rare exceptions but in general 150k is a good salary across the country

I’ve always been a saver. During the pandemic I quit working for almost a year and lived off my savings. I have low bills, cheap mortgage and live waaaayyyyy under my means. I learned from my father to pay myself first and always have a rainy day fund.

Forget $300k. The amount of money I would be able to save on just $150k🤑. I make anywhere between $84k and $115k a year depending on how much mandatory OT I get. I’m already a beast at saving money so on a good year I’m able to save at least $42k. On a slow year ($84k), I’m saving no less than $25k. If I made $150k, I would be able to buy a house in a great neighborhood w/ cash within about 8-10 yrs. Oh and I currently drive a 10 yr old Ford Fusion that’s paid off. The only way I’m buying a new car is when my current one completely dies on me.

In my area of nursing, we were critically short nurses and aides. As everyone was/ is. Then staff were quitting, going to staffing agencies, and would stroll in making 3 and 4 times more. But we lost those FT staff due to it, which made the problem worse. It was breaking the company. Finally it was cut.off. if that meant our census was 10, so be it. no more. Thank God. Those b..chs had been saying " im not getting up until im being paid a 1000 dollar bonus for that shift". Yes I said that.sorry not sorry. I kept telling them this isnt gonna last. Now they applying for a job and if they were overtly rude and arrogent, they are on a do not rehire list. Nothing like that is sustainable ever. U said it perfectly.

I'm a retired teacher and I can learn from your story even though I haven't gone through anything that Earth shattering. It is also important to think of others who you can do something for, especially in your times of glory. I'm not talking about just money but in general with life. Bless you!

My sister is a hospital adminstrator who worked a special project involving hiring nurses from across the country to work in NYC during COVID. Can confirm. She said nurses were 4x-ing their salaries and afterward completing their contracts and retiring. There were also those going wild getting BBLs, Teslas, and plastic surgery. Loved hearing her stories.

As a LVN not an RN. I was humble the whole time. I was blessed to stumble upon Dave Ramsey (I'm not doing his program) then went into financial rabbit whole. I'm transitioning to be a FULL TIME INVESTOR. Hopefully FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT in 3-5 yrs (I'll be 45 yrs old) Nursing will be just an OPTION to me. While y'all guys answering call lights. I'm on my PAID OFF vacation house. Traveling without financial worries. 😂😂😂 thats why i LOVE TO LOOK POOR. WEALTH IS STEALTH 😂😂😂

Great reminder to keep everyone humble. We forget this fact and get distracted with fake social media reels. I also made the most money in my life during the pandemic and got close to God at the same time. I downgraded my life at a higher income and moved back in with my parents. It was to help me achieve a goal of retiring from corporate before the age of 40. It’s not easy and sometimes I think I’m behind when hanging out with my coworkers. But I remind myself it’s all about delayed gratification. I might not look as fancy as my coworkers with their bags, cars, and clothes but it’s going to feel good not having to work a corporate sales job until 70 just to keep up the lifestyle and look good.

So basically people should act poor to appease others making triple their salaries. That’s the problem these people have so much more money living in mansions with millions in the bank but are angry at a nurse with a Chanel bag. I truly think we need be more mad at others who think we always need to look like we struggle.
@lionessrising

You are missing the point. He is saying they have trips, designer purchases but not maxing out retirement accounts, not a fully funded emergency fund yet plenty consumer debt. That’s the point.
