This thing is mega - check out the track vids to see it properly in action. The styling mods are super clever & discrete too. When you look at a stock E30 M3 after staring at this one for a while it's a bit of a shock how plain & lacking in presence they were as stock. This somehow captures what you know they were pitching for, very nice indeed. The sound on this vid doesn't really do it justice either, it sounds awesome in the flesh. Just need a track focussed SWB quattro to go with the 80's style German theme now!

Saw the huge washers on the rear HSD lower bushes holding something in...... Think this is the only weak point of the HSD system and are very soft in original guise. If you need replacement i would recommend searching Jaguar X Type Rear Shock Absorber Lower Bushes in Polyurethane (44mm) and use the original inserts from the HSD 26mm od. Actually felt a slight difference from the worn knocking originals, I'm using the Z3M rear end too.

Hi Phil, great to see the E30 back on the channel! You mention maybe rewiring the car, if you do I would love to be involved! I would do it for free if you covered the materials for exposure on my business I might start. I worked for a company for 7 years specialising in full rewires for Motorsport applications. There are many different levels of spec you could wire the car too (knowing you it would be the highest) Clubman's to full Raychem DR25 spec. Any of the PDM's out there could be used they're all very similar just differ on price depending on brand. The mk60 harness you have looks like it's made with Raychem products. That could be incorporated into the complete car harness to save laying different looms on top of eachother. Im only from 45 mins from your unit so pretty local. Ive just completed my own S85 swap on an E39 M5 so if you're thinking of rewiring the E46 also I might be able to help. Get in touch if your interested

We were also the first ones to install s38 an s54 engines into the e30s owning 13 of the old generation including m5s and alpina ac from Japan. Its very expensive to do that here in Canada back then. The younger generation have no clue nor do they want to learn about the trade. Most 9f us are getting old now or retired. But amazing work.

I think it was originally a race or rally car, so never registered for road. Someone either decided it was easier to just use a 325 logbook than register it, or it was built from a shell with no VIN, so again easier to use a 325 logbook, but really the DVLA should’ve issued it with a vin.
