Sean, you are an inspiration! Fabulous layout. I've followed all your videos. All were interesting, informative and very helpful, particularly the tutorials and how to do's. I have to admit, I was surprised when you dipped under the layout...with all the thoughtful placement, organization, etc. above I expected engineering perfection...I can't tell you how elated I was to see you took the same approach I am...wire it up..make sure it works, don't worry about how it looks. Thank you, thank you! Looking forward to your follow on videos.

looks awesome,been following your progress for the last couple of years and it has turned out great. I am in the process of finishing my basement so that I can put up a permanent layout up,my second. The first one I put up without finishing first and it was very dusty. I have drawn inspiration from your attention to detail and the quality of work. Getting ready to pick my flooring and I am going to show my wife your video of yours. did you use carpet squares?

Thank you for the *Galactic* tour of your train layout - Your attention-to-detail is absolutely *Breathtaking!* I have a question though, how do you clean the layout and all of individual pieces of dust that accumulates and how often do you clean? I sent your KZitem channel to a friend of mine that's a train enthusiast but hasn't set up any track. Thanks again for this amazing tour!

This was actually a toy building set made by Kenner from the '60s. It is called "Girder & Panel Building Set". Search on eBay and you should be able to find some. They came in all kinds of configurations. I got the 72050 set.

i worked at a hardware store. a tiny pallet was placed under the stack of feed ( just a 3/4" thick plywood with small wood strips under each side so the handtrucks would slide under and the feed was stacked probably 8 or more bags high. it was rolled out at opening and placed inside ,in a isle in line with the front door at closing.the trick was to get the bags to stack evenly and not tear.

how much did it cost for all the wood like the table top and frame
@seanstraindepot
6 жыл бұрын
Not sure it was like 4 years ago, but I used really high quality 2x4's (not warped, bowed Home Store stuff) and Cabinet grade 3/4 plywood (so it was a prefect smooth finish) so it was probably 1000.00-1500.00. You could do it much cheaper I am sure with a lot more work adjusting for bad wood.

Wow, that's awesome! Do you own any locomotives that require an O-72 curve? (Aside from that Empire State Express I see on the shelf)

I think most all are 054 minimum. M1a's, Berkshires, ES44AC, SD70's, etc.

Are you planning on buying any articulated locomotives? (Big Boy, Y6B, Alleghany, AC-9, etc.)
@seanstraindepot
6 жыл бұрын
Probably not. They don't look that great on 072 on the curves. I had a big boy, EM1, etc. Just too big, plus they are so high priced, I can 2 engines for the price of one. I do have a Lionmaster Challenger though.
