@@dsa4teen so far so good. I was the top salesperson in December out of 6 people, they make us work 6 days a week which is tough but staying on the grind, will look for another position in a couple weeks. I think confidence is the biggest thing

Half-way through this video and realised it doesn't have over a million views. This is such a QUALITY video that it made me think it was virally popular! Really good stuff, keep up the quality content because this right here is a hidden gem! Amazing tips thank you. Giving me confidence, I start interacting with customers for the first time on my shift later today, I am so excited!

@@techyin326 really well! Ive been working in the sales role at this job for 10 months now and I love it. I've learned so much and gotten a lot better in my qualifying skills. It is a difficult job at times but it also can be so rewarding. On my second day my manager gave me a massive shoutout at the morning meeting because I sold so much the day before. He was ecstatic!

Patrick, I am in my mid-thirties and I have 8yrs of experience under my belt as an Account Manager & Partnerships Manager that included upselling. Extremely transferable skills, but not traditional sales experience. How do I convince them to give me an AE role and not BDR/SDR or CSM? I think I'm handling their objections well especially in my close, but they want to give a higher paid role to a BDR/SDR since they have been trained & "proven" their ability. Or they want to put me in a CSM role since it's close to my client management experience. What should I do? I feel too senior to be a BDR/SDR - I'm far from a college grad. Also a CSM doesn't sound as fun/competitive as an AE role. Let me know what you think.

Would you think a bachelor's degree is necessary to get a respectable sales job, or can sales experience make up for not having a degree?
@patrickdang

It’s much easier to get a better job with a degree, especially in tech. But still possible if you don’t have one.

I just started my first job as a sales representative and I was supposed to sell for english and italian customers, but since I also speak french and arabic, i suggested to the company that I can take care of the other markets as well. Do you think this will help me escalate in the company? Or find a good job in sales maybe in the US?

Anything that relates to being a top performer at past sales roles, ability to communicate and be persuasive, situations where you had to overcome obstacles to achieve a goal, and your ability to be coachable.
