Hi Jared, nice job at the racetrack! Keep in mind that every BMW with the M60B40 engine came with a radiator for the engine oil. I had to put a fairly large oil radiator into my e30 to keep the oil temp. in an acceptable range. If you decide to stay with the hydraulic steering rack, you should install also a radiator for the steering fluid. It’s getting way to hot in the small e30 engine bay.

I mean I like Tavarish, but Jared actually knows his shit, and probably more importantly puts A LOT of work in. The guy is a machine. He works really hard, and travels a lot to help many other KZitemrs with their projects too. In other words, he actually gets stuff done. Tavarish on the other hand tends to keep buying projects, announcing them, and then proceeds to pretty much never finish them. He might do 1-2 videos on a project and then it disappears for months or years. He has only finished like what... 3 cars? Off hand I think the lambo, the McLaren, and I guess that sponsored Charger. Not to mention if Tavarish ever does make progress on a project, it requires Jared, and tons of outside shops, to get it done. Jared on the other hand mostly can just get stuff done on his own (like this). So yeah I like Tavarish, but Jared is the reason we actually get content. Plus Jared seems to be one of the nicest and most selfless guy around.

Maybe I'm just leery of electric power steering pumps because of all the mini cooper fires, but when converting my miata to EPS, I used full electric power steering from a saturn vue. Just converted the stock PS rack to manual, and added the electric assist inline with the steering shaft. Was very easy to do and can dial exactly how much assist I want. Without the assist on there is less play in the steering system because welding the old valving, with it on still have great road feel.
