KZitem seems to have changed the algorithm. It puts a small channel’s video in your feed and the video is from a topic you already regularly view. I personally watch channels like abroad in Japan, cdawgva, the anime man, etc.

Hi, watching from Las Vegas, Nevada. Your video popped up on my feed. I've been fascinated with life in Japan as I find it to be incredibly refreshing; it sort of reminds me of how it used to be a couple decades ago. Life in the US has grown incredibly stressful the past several years so your videos along with others have provided a nice, short escape. You have an amazing culture. Keep up the great work! Your positivity is infectious. 😊

Congrats on the viral video! I live in the US and watch YT vloggers that are expats living in Asia, which include Japanese living in other countries, or other nationalities living in Japan. I think this is why your last video was suggested by the algorithm. I subscribed because you give a good insight on everyday life in Japan as a uni student.

Hi, I'm Brazilian, and I think this video is suggested for me since I used it to get better at listening to English spoken to me, and I appreciate the substance of it.

I also bumped on your youtube today (the viral one) cause algorithm recommended it, but I decides to write a comment on this one. You seem very bright and friendly. Great energy on your videos and also your English is very good! Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱 (am I the first Pole here? 😂)

Hi, I'm a Kazakh guy currently living in Seoul. East Asian culture and languages were always my passion, so rn I'm trying to learn a bit of Japanese here and there. Ur video just popped in my feed randomly, but I was amazed at how chill and refreshing it was. tbh, I'm more of a listening type of guy, and I don't have that many interactions with other people here in Korea, so it just gave me a feeling like... someone is actually talking with me, about some everyday things that happen in our lives, not about some stressful stuff that we have enough in our lives :) huge thanks!

Hey hey! I'm a Bangladeshi guy in my late 20s, living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Moved to Canada in my late teens for university and have been here since. I stumbled across your video as it came up on my homepage and I can only say you are really cute (respectfully) and have a good way of speaking English. I hope to visit Japan someday as Anime and videogames from Japan made up a huge part of my childhood and I also love JDM cars. Take care and I have no doubt you will have lots of subscribers and views. Ganbatte!

How often do you speak English on a day-to-day basis? Like, what's the Japanese to English ratio?

Hello! I am currently a university student in the US. I love learning about Japan and Japanese culture in general and will be studying abroad in Kobe this summer!
Hi! I live in the US. I’ve had interests in learning Japanese and Korean and I enjoy helping people with English (like with HiNative) so I guess KZitem recommended me to you because of that? The video I got recommended was the one about your most embarrassing English moment lol. I clicked it because it sounded funny, I didn’t even realize it was from a small channel, I assumed it was a bigger one! I really like the English and Japanese subtitles and hearing more Japanese would be cool, too.

When I was a kid, I saw in a magazine Masayoshi Sukita's photos of David Bowie in Kyoto in 1980~. Many of the photos were on the streets. After this, I wanted to go to Kyoto - it just looked amazing. And still does, to me. Also, I've had friends from Japan (Nagano City, Kagoshima City, Ise in Mid Prefecture). I hoped my job would take me to Japan. I have not been yet. Now I know there is taco rice. :)

Aloha! I'm one of the new subs, as your video popped up as a suggested one. I also follow other creators that are based in Japan, so that could be why. I'm from Hawaii and just wanted to say that your English is really good! I'm a morning person, so I can't relate to the struggle of getting up early. Having a regular night routine helps though. Congrats on going viral! Looking forward to future videos!

Early classes in University / College were always the worst! Fortunately for me, I lived on campus and it was a very short walk to class. Everyone hated them; even the professors. I watch a lot of video's from people who live in Japan, and I read about and cook a lot of Japanese food. But, I have never visited. Perhaps after I retire. Hello from California.

I'm watching from Nottingham in the UK ( Robin Hood country ) . I came across your channel today from watching Japan Explorer it popped up . My passion for the last 10 years has been Japanese Rock/metal bands mainly the all female groups like Band-maid , Nemophila, Lovebites, Babymetal etc . My ambition would be to come to Japan and see live bands and immerse my self in your culture before I get any older .

Howdy! I'm from the Midwest US. KZitem recommended me your recent viral video. Most likely because I watch some videos on Japanese culture, Japanese language, and anime. It's pretty cool seeing someone across the world talking about their everyday life! I liked that you put Japanese subtitles at the bottom of the screen in the other video I watched. While I don't understand most of it, it's fun spotting some kanji I know out in the wild
