My so-called friend put hair removal in my shampoo bc my hair was long and she was a wig wearer. I haven’t put energy into my hair since. 😢 it was waist length.

My hair is beyond mid tights. I wouldn't even dare to imagine!!! One of the reasons (and big red flags) why I cut off my relationship with a narc relative was their trying to force me to cut my then slightly below shoulder level hair. I don't know what I would do to your "friend", but I think that with that mistake she would call WW3 upon her.

CP your hair looks so voluminous and glorious! I spent a month in India visiting family and I have been doing these different pre wash treatments (I follow several Indian women on KZitem who make these different treatments daily). Some with rice, or tea powder, or curry leaves, etc. and I’m having so much fun with them! Namaste 🙏🏽 ❤

Can someone help a girl out. If I make slippery elm and fenugreek gel (boil in water) and use it as 3 days a week and later my leave in conditioner will that cause protein overload? I heard fenugreek can cause that

Anyone have suggestions for a good inexpensive (less than $10) black owned conditioner that can be used with the powders to make masks?
@JrYoung-di6rb
8 ай бұрын
Not less than $10, it’s $12 and some change. The Camille rose Moroccan pear conditioning custard. Protein free BUT I find that great for using powders because most Ayurvedic powders have strengthening properties! You might want to add some water or aloe while mixing because the conditioner is already on the thick side. Mielle babassu and mint conditioner. The Shea moisture for men avocado butter & manuka honey deep conditioner is pretty good too. TGIN honey hair mask is nice too. As I Am conditioners are also really nice too! Heads up though - Camille rose does a $10 sale for Black Friday usually, so if you’re wanting to try her algae renew mask that’s the time to get it.

Unrelated, I think blooming the powders with a bit of water or aloe to make a thick thick paste and then mixing it with a conditioner helps it work better.

Hi Farida, I love your channel and have for a while applied many of your amazing tips for hair care. However, I struggle so much with hair breakage. I see the breakage at the end of my hair as tiny bits as well as larger pieces of hair. I have for years been trying to grow my hair longer but the breakage is such a hindrance for me. I do not do anything harmful to my hair (no heat and I finger detangle rather than brush my hair, etc). I have tried Cassia as an alternative to Henna (because I am afraid of the hair coloring that henna can cause) but I still experience the breakage in a very noticeable amount. Is there any advice or specific remedy/routine that you would recommend? I also already do protective hairstyles and touch my hair as little as possible but as soon as I put my hair down and touch it in any way I see the broken bits and pieces. Would really appreciate your advice please :)

Have you tried the Amla hair mask? I had telogen effluvium last year and my hair was coming out by the handfuls. My last relaxer was July 2022 and I committed to Ayurveda hair care because I wanted to go the natural route. Now I have a nice sized Afro. I’m not a doctor or licensed cosmetologist this is just my own experience. I do a full henna mask every 90 days and a Amla mask weekly. I recently started doing Amla masks on my husband because he was impressed with my results and now his hair is growing in what was once a bald spot. Ayurveda does work but you have to be willing to do your research and be consistent. Good luck to you.

Not our fight. I wish us Brown folk had the same empathy when our ancestors were slaughtered but we’re told… that’s the past, let it go. Our ancestors lived in Israel hundreds of years ago before we were killed and sold into slavery. Where’s our empathy??
