@@robertgoldsborough6097 hey there! Sounded like Dawn and Cindy were on the top together until they came around the second time, where Dawn went on top of Cindy. I think Cindy's mic was the louder one, but I could be wrong tho!

If you look carefully when Natalie starts off and they're "scaling" lol, you see Cindy is the last one to come in with that soprano then they all blend in. Then as they repeat " Just can't" 4 times while they're taking it up Dawn is at the top. I think we're both right tho lol. Their versatility is just unmatched.
@JamaalABivens

@@robertgoldsborough6097 yes sir. When they did the "just can't" four times, Cindy hung onto her last "can't" a little longer than Dawn, so you can hear that Dawn was above her then.

That was definitely Dawn on top after the break..but her and Cindy share the top at the beginning. Cindy's almost always takes the top, but Dawn does too on some songs, Hold On, to be specific. Don't get it twisted Terry takes the top at some of their live things mostly..i.e.Star Spangled Banner. En Vogue's got SERIOUS Rang. I think Maxine was studying classic soprano before she got into the group.

It’s incredible… because all have massive ranges. Cindy’s low register and Max’s high notes are both criminally underrated, as is the fact that Cindy can sound a lot like both Max and Rhona when she’s fully in chest voice. Wicked talent with these four (five) ❤️

You're right on both counts. Dawn takes the top here after sharing it with Cindy until they do the scales. On the album (and a lot of their studio songs) Terry does indeed do the top parts, mainly the very high ones, as her head voice is pretty top notch.
