The narrator is Peter Thomas, who proudly served in the US Army in WWII. He landed with the 1st Army as a PFC on Normandy on D-Day+1, and saw action in several battles in Europe. He is involved with the Army Big Red One reunion organization, and has led numerous tours of the Normandy battlefields. He is also one of the nicest guys I've ever met. His voice is familiar to most Americans who grew up watching TV, but most don't know of his service to his country.

For the record also, if you dont pass your swim/pfa by the time your division graduates, youll end up in another ship where it is just for recruits who dont pass your swim/pfa. You get more than enough chances to pass. Swim goes up to 17 retakes i heard. You're there until you pass it or until the CoC gives up on you... which is hard.

For those of you headed off to the MEPs, you will be able to destinguish people and the destined branch readily. The marines have egos, the army kids horse around and are loud, the navy people are observant, and the air force tends to be a little more exostential.I am proud to be in the navy. And I am proud of all my friend who followed their gut and got into their service.I couldn't do some of it and don't want to.Also I could just say I really love being near the ocean. I gotta say, Navy boot camp looks a bit easier than the Air Force boot camp I went through. I remember there was like a pecking order within the trainees that was based on attire (civies, basic bdu's, bdu's with patches, dress blues, etc.), and the lowest on the pecking order were those trainees with civilian clothes on, everybody with civilian clothes still on got harassed and hazed by other trainees in bdu's performing dorm guard duty. But here the Navy gets their gear right away, lucky.

They gave her the choice of being ASMOED or go to RU to be evaluated. continued--coming up with a way to pay for school (i.e. federal loans--they're not that difficult).. or you can choose to do both. But the Navy can help you somewhat financially to prepare for college (you won't have many expenses while in the military unless you drink it all up) and give you professional experience at the same time which would help aid you when you obtain your degree later.

Waldo mashed a company because they were giving the Company PO's shit. After 1 hour, he called the PO's back in & they all did one push-up. One SR shouted that was only 1 for the PO's. Waldo wanted to know who said it. The offender didn't confess so he mashed again for 1 hour, minus the PO's.

@medog2020 You still march to the galley and classrooms, but its not like the old days. Ie. Its pretty cool, but cant go into detail for obvious reasons.

Basically what will happen is your recruiter will set you up for the night at your nearest MEPS and you'll take the necessary physical requirements to see if you are physically capable and up to standards to join the U.S. Armed Forces. Then, you'll be done, and you'll eventually find yourself at MEPS again, where you will ship out. It's not an easy experience; it's rather nerve-racking. But each passing day is a day closer to making it full circle.
