Hey GP good rundown on the options for hauling all the things we need around the property. I decided to get the yard rack for my riding lawn mower and it works great. I already had a receiver on my mower so I just hand to plug it in and load everything up. Tim from big tool rack sent me a picture of his mounted on the front of his mower. I'm investigating if that is something I can do with mine. Then I could haul my lawn wagon behind it...Might be a good Option. I'll let you know when I get a chance to check it out. Have a great week, cheers

One thing you did not mention was the cost/price comparison between all three. That alone would sway most folks towards the carry all and adapt that and make it work. Big Tool Rack is way over priced for what it does.
@GPOutdoors

Good day Busman. Good point about considering price. I am sure folks will do their diligence on different options, and manufacturer products available, to compare and decide what makes the best sense for them based on price and value. Certainly an important input for most everyone, I think. Have a great weekend and thanks for tuning in!

Any of those would be a great complement to just about anyone's line of equipment. Being a bit on the frugal side I have a tendency to lean towards self-fabrication, though I agree you have to accept the shortcomings of your design. There's a lot of thought that goes into those Yard Racks. They ALL beat MY carry-all that does double duty as a loader bucket. LOL.

Great video Gord . I had a look at their website and they sure do have a lot of options to add to the Big Tool Rack and Yard Rack . You said that they sent you some rubber grommets . One would think that would have come with rubber grommets for the price that they are asking . Not trying to be a kill joy but that seems kind of cheap of them . Yard Rack is great for small size equipment as long as you have a 2in receiver . What I don't like is how the Yard Rack jiggles on the tractor . The Big Took Rack is nice and sturdy with the 3 point hitch connection . I have to admit though I love that carry all that you and Guy built . Take care .

Hey GP! Great reviews of the tool rack and yard rack. If you ever get an opportunity to trial and review a dual axle dump trailer like the Bosski or Woodland Mills Multilander I think that would be a very interesting video (or short series of videos) to those of us with loader tractors and atvs and property where moving loose materials around is always a challenge. I’m in the market for one, primarily for moving firewood and manure/compost around my farm. Cheers!

I'm liking the yardrack, and considering it for my zero turn mower. For a tractor for my tree farm, I am about decided upon a Ventrac 4500, which has a 3PH. One question on the BR, is whether the legs are adjustable, or just either up or down? FWIW ,for the money, I still like your homebuilt rig - have you estimated the total weight on it?
@GPOutdoors
4 жыл бұрын
Good evening C! A couple of good questions there. Yes indeed - the legs on the BTR are adjustable - I released a video about a month ago showing how they adjust. Which is a practical feature because you drop the legs before you take it off the 3 PH and then wheel it around in your garage or work shed. LOL. Thanks - I love the unit Guy and I built. I have never tried to estimate the weight but my B2601 will lift about 1,150 lbs on the lower lift arms and I have filled it with cherry, maple and ash many times, and as long as I have weight in the front, I am able to drive back through the forest with no problems. If I don't have weight in the front, then I end up popping wheelies when I go over big bumps along the trails. The homebuilt unit will hold about 6/8's of a face cord of split wood. Hope that helps a little. Good luck with your new tractor purchase, and let me know how it goes from time to time. Cheers C!
