Also the script board paintings at the beginning done by Olaf Wieghorst, His paintings were the rave in the Sixties in the USA. I had a view as jigsaw puzzles in my childhood Wieghorst ( 1899 - 1988 ) also had plaxed the SWEDE, the weaponsmith in this movie

Una banda sonora inolvidable gracias al gran Nelson Riddle !!!

I love these old westerns and their movie themes. They were important stories and soundscapes to my childhood growing up in the 1950s and 60s. I think being a cowboy was one of the very first things I ever wanted to be as a kid. I know it's a complex topic nowadays, but in the 1950s, I wasn't thinking about the 21st Century. I just loved the idea of being a cowboy, riding a horse across the range and into town, being one of the good guys who stood for honor, what's right, and helping out those suffering injustice. Sounds totally corny I know, but again, we're talking the 1950s. I'm still kind of that corny as an old guy now in 2024. And may I add that Nelson Riddle also has a very high place of honor in my book! As a musician and a composer, he holds a place in the top tier of my respect. "My Daddy once told me what a man ought to be. There's much more to life than the things we can see." - So true is that line, even today.

One of THE BEST movie intro's ever! (Turned me on to Olaf Wieghorst's art, which is well worth looking for, hint, hint.)

Through sunshine and shadow, from darkness till noon Over mountains that reach from the sky to the moon A man with a dream that will never let go Keeps searching to find El Dorado So ride, boldly ride, to the end of the rainbow Ride, boldly ride, till you find El Dorado The wind becomes bitter, the sky turns to grey His body grows weary, he can't find his way But he'll never turn back, though he's lost in the snow For he has to find El Dorado So ride, boldly ride, to the end of the rainbow Ride, boldly ride, till you find El Dorado My Daddy once told me what a man ought to be There's much more to life than the things we can see And the godliest mortal you ever will know Is the one with the dream of El Dorado So ride, boldly ride, to the end of the rainbow Ride, boldly ride, till you find El Dorado
