This was my first bag just over a year ago (plus the zipper closure) and the results were so good I made another one immediately! I got so many compliments on them which gave me such confidence right from the start. The only error I made with this one was I sewed across the top outer edges of the front exterior pocket before I basted on the foam (I didn't have rivets back then). As a result the foam wasn't anchored within the body of the bag so it tended to move a little within the layers. Not critical insofar as no-one else noticed it (or even quite understood when I pointed it out) but it's worth pointing out for other bag makers perhaps. Love your patterns, videos and the whole Country Cow vibe!

@@CountryCowDesigns I forgot to add to the comment b4 when u mention about the tension of your HD9 sewing machine. Forgive me if I misunderstood but I hv the HD9 also. I learned that when I was having problems with the tension I hv to fiddle with the bobbin instead of the tension knob most of the time. I hope this helps

Hi Jo love this pattern just a quick question about snipping into the sides I’m a bit paranoid about cutting too far could you sew the sides just down to the 3/8 seam allowance rather than snipping?
@CountryCowDesigns
10 ай бұрын
Yes you could. But you will end up with bulky seams which won’t look as neat. Glad you like it
