On April 22, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released a final rule that in part, sets standards for nursing homes receiving federal funding. It's called "Minimum Staffing Standards for Nursing Homes" final rule. It establishes, for the first time, national minimum staffing requirements for nursing homes to improve the care that residents receive while supporting workers by ensuring sufficient staff. We explain.
