Titles read: "NEW STANDARD FOR 5TH ROYAL INNISKILLING DRAGOON GUARDS".
Colchester, Essex.
Various shots of the soldiers of the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards at a new standard ceremony. Commentator says the soldiers will say goodbye to their horses after this ceremony as, from now on, they are to be a mechanised brigade mounted on light tanks.
The standard is changed, then the Duke of Gloucester (Prince Henry) sits on his horse, making a speech to the men about how sad they must feel to be leaving their horses.
Soldiers on horses and on foot march across the parade ground.
