Thats a good group with open sights. I had to put a scope on mine with my old eyes! Some very wise words at the end of your video. Wishing you and your family a fantastic New Year. Take care.

So I own this exact rifle in .177 and I look through a few more of your videos and I will tell you one thing that will make your accuracy a lot better. always put your hand under the rifle when shooting off a bag. Air rifles do not like to be bag rested they like to have your hand under them then the bag. The weihrauch hw50s is a tack driver even with open sites also your hold consistance is a factor as well how you hold it and pull the trigger matters as once you figure that aout you need to do it the same everytime. I am a very avid spinger shooter and own several weihrauch air rifles and love them all. Hands down some of the best air rifles on the market today. Still not bad shooting at 20yds but trust me it will even be better if you just get your hand under the rifle in between that bag.

Thanks so much for your feedback! Completely agree, I've tried this a few times off video and it does help as it allows the gun to recoil more naturally. Kind regards!

@@airgunnostalgia4210 yes exactly I shot powder burners for years and when I first really got into shooting air rifle seriously I had to learn that they are a little different to shoot but once you figure the little things out it really becomes a lot more fun. ANd it will really teach you how to hold and shoot any rifle really well so going back to powder burners AKA real fire arms it makes you a lot better shooter hands down. also always making sure all your stock screw are ttight is another thing as well if you did not alreayd know that. I use a little blue lock tight on mine to help them from not loosing up.

Got a nice lateral recoil, very consistent in all your shots. Everyone on the forums seems to be recommending the 99 (as the 50 is known here in the UK) and can see why

@@airgunnostalgia4210 In the Marine Corps we were taught to focus on a clear front sight post, until everything else became blurry, if that is of any help.

Beautiful rifle.. As are most weihrauchs.. Open sights are all we used back in early 70's, managed to save up enough cash for as scope doing odd jobs as a kid, thought I were the bees knees with a scope on my BSA Mercury, but I actual fact it weren't THAT mutch better the open sights.. Pencil thin scope.. Still got both, never sell the rifle as my dad bought it me...

@@markhomer5704 Thanks for commenting Mark and sharing that great bit if nostalgia... Back in my early teens I used to be pretty good with the open sites as I could never dream of affording a scope.... Today was tough but still very enjoyable. Take care

Very nice video. I am thinking of getting a HW30S but I am also considering a HW50. Having both, how would you compare them? I also have an HW35E in nickel (.22) and an HW95 in .20. I dont really hunt except eliminating occasional groundhogs that eat food I leave for some feral cats I take care of. For that I use a Hatsan 125 Vortex QE Sniper which makes around 27-30 fpe. Keep up the great videos. I enjoyed your video on the HW80 at the same range I believe. Happy New Year.

Thanks so much for your kind comments! Really appreciate it. Nice collection you have there too! I would say that they are quite similar but also very different. The 30 is so smooth and light weight it's almost recoiless. However the 50 definitely has a more solid feel to it, firing cycle is also very smooth, but it definitely has more recoil. Will soon be putting a scope on it and testing it more, but so far I really like it, shoulders nicely too and screams quality. A very happy new year to you too!!

I'm terrible with open sites, so for me the scope is easier for sure
