Waiting to be able to go offroad again with the Campagnola and the TJ-Patrol (mine is undergoing scheduled maintenance of the differentials and the TJ-Patrol is being repaired after a rollover in which Mirko luckily came out unharmed), with the our models we carried out a comparative test between two completely different off-road concepts: the Hummer H1, with four independent wheels, great ground clearance but very heavy and with a very long wheelbase which, on the one hand, gives a lot of stability, in this type of path penalized him, and the Jeep JK Rubicon, much lighter, more agile, with excellent breakover angle and tires a little better suited to extreme mud, but with a ground clearance of almost half, less stable and with a much worse attack.
The weights of the models are exactly in relation to the real ones. Tire sizes are true-to-life at 40 inches for the Hummer and 37 inches for the Jeep.
The differentials are blocked for both vehicles (real considerations allow it).
In order to deal with this difficult route, the jeep required the tire size to be increased by two sizes (from 33" to 37") and an ultra-high racing set-up, while the Hummer only required one more tire size (from 37 " at about 40").
