I still miss the Organist Entertains on the Radio. I followed it from the days of Robin Richmond

Absolutely love that vintage blower motor starter. I would have liked to see the blower itself. Breat video. When I get home, I'll plug the laptop into a big amp & speakers and turn the wick up to eleven! Cheers!

Wondefful stuff. I still haven't forgiven the BBC for scrapping "The Organist entertains" on Radio2 with Nigel. Why?!

I miss the organist entertains on radio too Nigel. You are a great organist and presenter. I am 80yrs old and played piano and organ. This video is awsome. I met Reginald after his organ concert in Leicester (about 1971-2) shook his ‘magical’ hand, and he signed his LP (to me) I’ll never forget that evening. So watching you bringing him, and the Tower Ballroom back to life has been WONDERFUL. Thank you so much for playing the Wurlitzer for us and recording your personal tribute to MR BLACKPOOL you are awsome too !! 😊😊😊 Jim

My late father left me his Hammond organ. A 1970s electronic, dual keyboard, with drawbars and double octave pedals. I wanted to learn to play like Nigel Ogden. Turned out more like Stan Ogden😂

WOW . This brought back great memories of Regional Dixon. I remember listening to 78's as a very young lad of around 14 years. Many years ago. I still love Theatre Organ. I need to get back into ATOS again

So the roots of the theater organ are traceable to Lancashire, via Hope-Jones. The same place Ecky-Thump comes from :-D

I don't contribute to the BBC and that's probably why they took 'The Organist Entertains' off the air as a reprisal. The most important thing to the BBC is to maintain their ratings. It is their god above all else which is surprising since they don't have to work for their money but it does mean a 'lowest common denominator' mentality. John Reith tried to avoid all this but after every great person comes a series of baddies, rendering all their work of no avail.
