There's absolutely no debate that quality force feedback adds huge amounts of immersion to your sim racing experience. But a topic that's often debated is just how much more speed and consistency force feedback accounts for.
So today I turned everything off, starting with just the force feedback itself, then the wheel weight and motion platform to see exactly what impact it would have on my driving around one of the most challenging circuits in the world, Bathurst.
I know I'm not the fastest guy around by any means, and I'm sure the people pushing sub 2:00 lap times would see a different outcome, but the results still surprised me a lot!
