Helen, I am second generation Korean. My mother emigrated from Korea as the bride to an American soldier and raised five children stateside, my father was deployed throughout his military career, so we were raised mostly on Korean food. All 5 of us children were very close in age and my mom would often make bibimbap in a stainless steel mixing bowl with whatever vegetables (banchan) were leftover in the fridge and we’d sit on the floor around her, and she feed us a bite of food, one after the other…Such a fond and loving memory of mine. 🇰🇷🇺🇸♥️

Hi Helen. Have you ever tried making non Korean food with 된장 ? I was wondering if it would taste good with Indian spices.
