In this video, I am going to share a steamed yogurt cake recipe that you can make even if you don't have an oven. I use a chiffon cake method to create this recipe. I recommend using yogurt that is on the runny side in consistency. You may use plan yogurt or sweetened yogurt. I recommend using an aluminum cake pan(6 inch) with removable bottom. Do not brush any oil inside the pan or line the pan with paper to prevent the cake from deflating. The yogurts adds depth of flavor to the cake which makes the cake tastes balanced, moist and fluffy.
Recipe(for one 6 inch cake)
Corn Oil or Vegetable Oil 35g
Cake Flour 40g
Corn Starch 10g
Yogurt 60g
3 Large Eggs(60g each with shell)
Granulated Sugar 35g(add more if you prefer it sweeter)
Vinegar or Lemon Juice 4g
Start on boiling water, steam on medium low heat for 40 minutes. Take the cake out immediately after turning off the heat. Watch the video for more details.
