North Sea Port (the Dutch-Belgian port of Vlissingen, Terneuzen and Ghent) plays an important facilitating role in the realisation of the hydrogen economy. The construction of electrolysers and the import of green hydrogen perfectly illustrate the connecting role North Sea Port plays in its port area.
The collaboration and close partnership with grid operators Gasunie and Fluxys (for hydrogen) and TenneT and Elia (for electricity) are vital for achieving the port’s goals.
