I really enjoyed learning about this tree, and I think the way it droops is actually very pleasing to the eye and that is why it makes such a great Christmas tree.

This is another tree that always reminds me of a massive Christmas tree. I like the somewhat droopy nature of the branches and cones.

every year the country of Norway gives a large Norway Spruce to the city of New York to be used at the Rockefeller Center as a Christmas tree

Genus name is reportedly derived from the Latin word meaning pitch in reference to the sticky resin typically found in spruce bark.

I have seen these trees all over but I never knew they were Norway spruces.

This tree can grow up to 5 feet in a year with good weather, and they keep their needles for up to 10 years

It is very cool to learn the Norway Spruce can grow from zone 3 to zone 8.

The leaves are bright green to purplish in youth but become a lustrous dark green with age.

This tree reminds me of the trees in Louisiana. It gives great memories. They come in many shapes and sizes

Great video! I have 4 Norway spruces growing in my yard. They are pretty small though. And I didn't plant them!

I got some of these (babies so far) Will a shallow root system mean they can fall easily with a rain/snow storm? 😳 I would hate for it to get big and fall into my neighbor’s or my yard
