Cool being in Winnipeg and a True Blue fan for the 84 Grey Cup celebration! We waited a very long time...

This was bittersweet for me because during this time I just discovered the CFL and the winnipeg blue bombers. Dieter Brock was the only QB I knew.

In the final moments of the game, the young quarterback for the Tiger-Cats was future Cal and Fresno State head coach Jeff Tedford.

Dieter Brock would join the Los Angeles Rams whom he led to the NFC championship game. Unfortunately he lost another game there in cold weather to the dominant 1985 Chicago Bears.

It was beautiful the day before and the next five days after the game, but the temperature plunged on game day. It was the first Grey Cup game I ever went to, and snuggled up next to attractive female company, getting as good a view as one could from row 71 in the end zone.
