Today we've got an awesome book by a great author that attempts to make the difficult concepts of functional analysis much easier to digest. There is no formal prerequisite list that I could find, but from what I can tell, calculus I-III, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations should be sufficient. It's an older book and reads as such. Additionally, it lacks exercises and is light on examples. It is still a very good book despite this. Great stuff by Sawyer.
