I Believe I’m safe with American Eagles and the constitutional silver, but I still have a lot to learn, and this is a excellent channel to learn from appreciate the info

I like your idea to be diverse and buy what you LIKE. For me, I collect for weight, but I have a corner of my collection in graded and some nice examples of types. In my silver eagles book, I am always looking for better examples of some years where mine may not show off well, and buy some proofs for the book. Lastly, I always look for the best deal for the current spot price (buy more when spot is low). Nice video, thanks for posting it.

I buy mostly constitutional, but not for the numismatic values. I need to start paying attention more to that!

I hit my bullion goal 750 oz. And have been on a numismatic trend last 2 years. Big outdoorsman and got large collection of walleye, deer ect silver coins. Been selling a few to friends, great way to introduce buddies to the silver world. Made several dedicated stackers out of them

Wow, I've never thought of numismatics as less volatile than bullion. You're totally right, numismatics lag silver. In both directions. So price is more stable than silver. But, I still consider bullion a much safer play, primarily due to its high liquidity and low spreads. Also, I think bullion is another way of saving. With the generally much higher premiums, numismatics, to me, are more risky. But I love both. Numismatics is what first inspired me as a youngster. It's what ultimately got me into silver itself. But my ultimate Love are toned Morgans. Thanks again!

Love libertads. I need more toners and proofs. Most of my stack is semi numismatics.

I have been buying mostly for the last two years newer slabbed American coins. Last year I bought a lot of cac g Morgan, Peace and silver eagle coins mainly because it was their first year grading coins in their own slabs. Also first year for reverse proof Morgan and Peace dollars. That's a lot of firsts that might not be realized right now but 10 years down the road definitely could. Either way I love graded coins.

Been collecting PCGS slabbed silver dollars since 2012 starting with the Morgans and one thing I will say is that most of my AU58’s haven’t increased in value like my mint state Morgans. As a collector first I collected both the circulated and non-circulated coins in the Morgans and Peace silver dollars, my Eisenhowers they are all in MS64 or better. The most enjoyable of my coin collection to date are the ASE’s since most are in the grade level 70 and 69 and I never thought I would be collecting the labels but now I am as in struck at and now with the presidents. One of the neat things about the PCGS certified slabs is you can build your inventory online that they automatically update the price and it is so much easier to track your inventory. My inventory is now approaching over five hundred coins and I could not been able to follow this amount of coins without this online inventory database. Good luck with you collection.

I think it’s hard for anyone who comes in as a stacker to NOT stray just a bit into numismatics or as I classify them, “stackollection” - the key is keeping the right balance for YOU

I prefer raw coins unless I can get a great deal on slabbed ones. But I still accumulate both because at the end of the day both are precious metals that will only go up in value over time.

I’m a numismatic fan over the bullion, but do have a raw uncirculated ASE from every year and a few raw Libertads and other generic silver rounds. Just not really a “stacker”.

The experts preach, “diversity” in investments. So, I’d get some of all of it. If one kind isn’t selling well, then we sell the other that is selling well. Logical, right? ;-)
