Hello all. In this video I'm demonstrating NUX's Trident for the third time. this time I'm using it in conjunction with the Koch Studiotone 20 head as a device to control the amp (Via MIDI using the NUX PMS-1) and to provide all the effects that need for a live gig over multiple different presets.
This is DEFINITELY my favourite way to use the Trident so far. I really enjoy amp modelling at home and recording but for live there are limitations to it that I don't enjoy and there's no substitute for having knobs at your fingertips for your volume, gain and EQ that you can tweak to the room and as as the gig progresses as you want to. Being able to witch channels on the amp for my main sounds and then combining those sounds with the onboard boost and drive pedals means I have the perfect blend of easy control and killer sounds.
As I've discovered in the previous two videos the Comp, Mod, Delay and Reverb on the trident are all really excellent so this really compact pedalboard has everything I need for a gig and it can very much fit ion my gig bag. Really outstanding!
I've one more demo to come where I combine it with outboard pedals but overall I've been really impressed with the idea behind the Trident. I think it's ease of use for a gigging guitar player right there on the front of the unit makes it a really different prospect for live use. I lam absolutely Lovin it!
