This has to be the only time noel has sung this song all by himself. Can you imagine if you were in the audience and he just said 'oh yeah wrote this song last Tuesday.' Fucking unbelievable!

Actually a lot of people, including Noel (I think) say that all the best songs are written in about 30 minutes. At least Paul McCartney and The Stones say so.

This is my favourite version. The echo reminds me of a hymn in church. Just a breaktaking song and Noels' voice is perfection.

wow different lyrics and everything, no verse 2 either, chords seem to be the same though, and considering he "wrote it 2 weeks" before this performance, that is pretty incredible, to have thought up the arrangement that quickly is genius in my opinion

I wonder what he thought when he finished writing this. Did he know? Did he realise he'd written a masterpiece? This song means everything to me. I don't know what exactly it's about but it doesn't matter. I don't want or need to know. I just know what it means to me. Everything.

I saw the first performance of this when it had a proper title, at Bath Pavilion in a secret gig the night before they headlined Glastonbury 1995, in front of about 300 people :) They also played The Swamp Song, Some Might Say, Roll With It, Morning Glory, Hello all for the very first time. It was £9 a ticket :)

nobody reacts when they start the song. nobody sings or shouts with them as "soooo sallllly cant wait..." it's unusual to listen this song without crowd's join. i think; this is first, last and only time that happened.

Nope if you look online you can find a lot of early 95 concerts of when Noel does it and everyone looks at him like he's singing Coldplay.

Noel gets credit for being a good self taught guitarist, but his singing voice, just as self taught out of sometimes necessity, then for the desire to improve, has improved immensely. Not many singers, not just famous ones, especially rock ‘n roll ones, even fewer A-list multiple number 1 selling single/album at the top, from the very top except America, then still pretty relevant for 30+ years. That’s impressive. But listen to him on long format radio, either host or guest. He’s great. Especially with Matt…Russell Brand’s former joke writer/partner. It’s a wonder to behold, for sure!

Yeah, but of course there are exception. But I think in that case they had already written the song. Just kept on improving it. Like The Beatles did with Strawberry Fields Forever. John wrote it in spain, then when it was time to record it the Beatles kept on improving until it sounded like you hear it on the record. And I think that probably the case with november rain to
