Greetings from Canada. I probably got recommended this video due to my interest in learning Japanese, but this video has a completely different atmosphere to what I'm usually used to watching. I ended up checking out an older video of yours where you talk wanting to be a flight attendant and not being tall enough for that. At least in Canada, some companies here do not have a minimum height requirement for flight attendants. Most stuff I see online while searching for "minimum height requirements for flight attendants", they say minimum is usually around 5'2". I don't know what the requirements are like in Japan at all. Looking at 2 specific companies: #1 Air Canada, looking at the minimum requirements section for flight attendant on their website, it does not mention any height requirements. They put a strong emphasis on preferring people who know both English and French fluently, though it's possible you might be able to get by without being fluent in French. They do consider it a boon if you know one of several other languages, Japanese being at the front of the list, though not sure if place in the list has any importance. #2 Jazz Aviation, they fail to mention any minimum height requirements, but they do have a maximum height requirement of 6' (182cm) listed due to small aircraft size. They do have a strict requirement for being fluent in both French and English. If you still have passion for becoming a flight attendant, I recommend not giving up on it. Take a look into what opportunities may be available to you, and if you don't mind migrating to another country and possibly learning a *third* language, you may still be in luck. If you chose to follow your passion, I wish you luck, and I hope this message finds you well.

I like this way of starting the video, going through the topic, and ending with a good bye. Unedited. She is an honest, more reflective young woman than the average young person. She doesn't have to pretend to be anything other than she is. Maybe she has a role to play in the workplace (as told in an earlier video), who doesn't in a culture like Japan? Here in front of the camera she is open and herself. Great respect for that. I really like the tone of her voice, the calm way of speaking, even if it is partly due to learning a foreign language for her. However, I believe that her way of speaking is more pleasant than compared to thousands of other, fast-talking youtubers even when she comes to master speaking English as her own language. And it's so refreshing. What's annoying these days is that speech is often edited out of even the smallest pauses in the speech, just like machine-gun speech. Shika-san is a heavenly sweet exception. Now that I found the channel, I watch every new video.🙏
It's great that you could express what you actually think in a different language. I look forward learning Japanese with you so I could express what I feel in your language as well.

Also I want to add: I think your explanations absolutely makes sense! Having confidence is not important in my opinion (and maybe it will come after some time, automatically?). What is important is that you want to teach is, and having someone to learn together with makes all kinds of learning much more fun, I think. Thank you for your class!

Arigatou Shika sensei. I didn't know around half the words you shared here and you kept me engaged the whole time with your explanations. It doesn't surprise me knowing a bit of Japan's history that such a saying would include that they were prepared to risk their lives. We have nothing similar here in Australia. lol I can't think of any situation where a normal Australian would pledge to risk their life for someone else, certainly not enough for that saying to become a popular one! In a lot of ways we have led a very sheltered existence here with less experience generally with violence and deaths than many other cultures.

I'm usually depressed at this time on Sundays, but today I'm not because... Your 1st 'depressed' was perfect! 😀 The 2nd 'depressed' had an 'l' instead of an 'r'. 0:52 「So I do have 3 day weekends this week.」 So I do have a 3 day weekend this week. 1:58 「videos」 starts with a 'v' sound, not 'b'. 5:00 「As an example of mistake... 」 As an example of a mistake... 5:19 「The pronounciation is totally the same with...」 'totally' has no 'r' in it. There are the words 'pronounce', 'pronounced', and 'pronouncing' but no English word 'pronounciation'. Instead it becomes 'pronunciation'. [I didn't expect that you knew how to pronounce 'gallery'! 少しびっくりした!] You even corrected yourself with 'area' and 'era'. 😁 I can see that you've been practicing and each day your English is improving. Maybe sometime in the future, you could record a little bit of the shooting gallery at one of the 祭り。[🍫+🍌=甘くて and 🤤 ] I know it's illegal to record people's faces without permission so maybe if you or a second person could record in a way that let's us see how well you can shoot without recording the 店長さんの顔。(If they say 'no'.)

Interesting to hear you have a holiday tomorrow. We have Thanksgiving in Canada on Monday! Thank you for the Japan lesson! My mother was okinawan, but I grew up in Canada and she didn't teach me and my siblings Japanese, mostly because she was too busy trying to learn English. So now I am slowly learning words. Konichiwa and not kon-EE-chiwa, so no *emphasis* on the 'i'.

Don't worry, I understand you very well💯 Take your time. I appreciate the japanese people because of their patience and serenity, very much Especially girls like you are very welcome to me💪🏻
I'm a complete beginner, but I love Japan :D From my perspective, to teach your own language takes a lot of courage and confidence - and you looked super professional and I learned a lot. I like all of these casual videos. When you pronounce konnichiwa when speaking, are you pushing out some extra air when saying "wa" at the end, to make it sound a bit like konnichiwha? I tend to learn by feeling. Therefore, I'm hoping it is possible to guess from the previous moji if its "ha", "wa" or "wha". If there is a chance for a "wha" in the word I hear, I would be more daring to guess that the written form could be "ha" instead of "wa". Also, I'm happy to see again how each moji contributes to the word - especially mei (命) in isshokenmei. From the perspective I had during the middle of the video, 所 felt to be a more natural fit than 生 - as in, one would make this statement "in that moment or place in time" - but then you explained that it was about a physical place :D, now I may have to adjust my understanding OR... could 所 also mean a place in time or the place you make this promise at? (then I don't have to adjust :)
