Great video as always, man! You really give a good overview. One question: Do you think the RTX 4090 would be able to run this OLED G8 monitor as the main monitor and two OLED G6 monitors as secondary monitors? I've read and heard that several individuals have issues running three monitors because the Nvidia card only lets them select two. Cheers!

This, trust me it is 100% this. It is a TV as well, it has ambiet light, better build quality, it is elegant and still has a gaming look as well. I had a lot of Allienware monitors in the past, but their build quality is just cheap, it feels like they are made in mass and the company aims just to make money fast, without really caring about the buyer. They kept their design and their cheap plastic for years, i understand that they need to keep their "image" but cheap plastic is cheap plastic after all, if the monitor is white and it gets scratched a bit, it will have a black mark which wont go off, on the other hand we have seen samsung improving their design every year.

What about the color accuracy? Better than the G6? He wasn't well calibrated. Is there a sRGB calibrated mode like Asus and Gigabyte did? Some HDR picture mode?
@consumertechwarehouse
3 ай бұрын
Damn. All this stuff I wanted to cover but cut it out of the video because I thought people wouldn't care. Color accuracy is excellent on the movies preset or graphic preset if using PC. Delta E was well under 2. There isn't an easy way to switch to sRGB mode. The TV does it automatically based on the content if Color is set to auto. But you can change to native which removes any clamping of the colors. There is a custom mode, but it's greyed out in most situations. In HDR mode, auto changes DCI-P3 or HLG depending on the content. Long story short, it does a lot of this automatically but it doesn't seem like you can choose whatever color gamut you want anytime you want. Hopefully they address that on a software update.

I think it'll look similar when looking at mostly a white image like Excel, word, or bright web pages. In most video and games it'll look brighter because at 10% and 30% windows it can get higher than 500 nits. There's times I wish it were brighter though, but that's me coming from 1000 nit mini led laptop displays. Overall I'm fine with the brightness though I would have really liked more. I worked with MacBook and a portable 4K OLED 15.6 monitor for a while, both have very high PPI and laser-sharp text clarity.
