Hint on digging holes for posts... Set the camera up on a tripod and as you are using the power auger, have Jen use a flat shovel and pull the dirt a little away from the hole, that way, a lot less using the hand digger to pull dirt out of the holes. I saw this method being used by a professional fence company digging holes for a fence. Seeing as how since you put it together, someone else can take it apart. So, If they do, it'd be nice to see who does it. Set up some trail cams to get pics or video of anyone who pushes it open, or takes it apart, or steals the part that they could use, the Batteries! Also, when connecting to DC connections, always put a light coat of die-electric grease, this keeps it from ever corroding! Also, the gate being visible, to both you and Jen, and, anyone who might be wondering up your road at night, either put some transportation type reflective tape on the gate. Or, if you wanna get fancy( as you often use that term) and since I have heard you talk about TEMU, they have some decent solar lights that you could use to put on the gate. I have a deck I put on my shop, and I used them to light the border to be able to see at night. Not very bright, but it does make everything visible. So far, after several months, they have worked great, AND they come on when it gets dark AND, they work all night long. As like the push in the ground type solar markers that fizzle out after a few hours. Also,I'd mark a tree on both sides of the gate, and figure out how far away the fob will open the gate, so you can push it as soon as you can, so less waiting at the gate for it to work. That gate seems to be great for at least keeping honest or just lost or those just out exploring, off your property! I like your videos because you seem to always be improving! Great work! and thanks for sharing!

I couldn't stop thinking that for a stranger to open the gate, all they would have to do is pull the pin on the end of the opener, and disconnect the drive mechanism to the gate. Then I thought, if they were there to steal something of any value, they would steal your batteries. My final thought is that the only thing a lock or gate does is to keep honest people honest. If some one wants something bad enough, they're going to find a way. I think that I would go ahead and get the gate latch so deer or moose or people can't lean on the gate and stress the motor mechanism. Have fun!
