My English teachers have been forced to mass ban the use of Grammarly, Autocorrect, and other tools because a few classmates used GPT to write their essays and in turn were caught by the TurnItIn AI. My school's policy is based on a near zero tolerance policy, and something as small as a Grammarly adjustment will set it off and it's an instant zero. And it's not just 99% effective- one of the other teachers took a GPT essay, ran it through other programs 20 times, and finally adjusted it himself. GPT didn't recognise it but TurnItIn's AI marked everything but the title and human made edits as AI generated. Ironically enough my 80+ year old teacher wants to make a separate essay unit based on GPT because of this.

Would it be possible to change eSports to be more like any other US sport? Where each state has their own team and they have their own "stadium"? I think if a team is backed by the state they're from it would get more public attention, as well as team owners profiting from ticket sales. It would definitely be a slow start but more likely to make money over time than the way they're doing it now. Do teams even see any of the money from ticket sales?

Anyone else prefer the old format from early 2022? Felt like the 'host + plus a surprise guest + Brodin giving input in the back' format each week worked really well. We got to know the guests better & the questions were more personal. Really not sure why they changed it to "which 3 housemembers woke up & were available the day of the pod." I get that Toast is occupied with DSG now, so it’d be nice if this was someone else’s passion project.

lol I do understand Toast's point at the end though, when I'm in a new country I'd rather experience the festivals that's particular in that countries and stayed up all night for that rather than going to a club which I can go anytime in my own country. But I think it's more or less a preference thing. I normally solve that with going to Japan with different group of people at a time because each group enjoy different things.

Personally I see no reason for Esports to have gender separated teams. I can see the reasoning for traditional sports, but not for Esports. In my eyes the only barrier is the communities and how fucking toxic they are to women in competitive games. Like if you were the first women to be added to a male team, there is so much more pressure there on them because of the toxicity thrown towards them.

Damn, 1:00:20 - 1:12:00 Very deep conversational points. Jody hit on a very important topic about fulfillment. The word to define the mood during the period of silence, is Sullen. However, Brodin was beeing cheeky, but respectful. Toast was on the level, but conscience of Brodin's thoughts. Which turned the Sullen mood into absolute hilarity! Toast & Jody speaking about streaming content in Japan. Collaborations while streaming and sitting down in the park, visiting different onsens. Living a travel vlog would be a blast for about 3-5 years.Except, Conner Dawg touched on this in his podcast, after chatting with OTV last year.: A move is about to occur either this year or the next, where many big name streamers and youtubers will move to Japan, in search of the promise land for CONTENT. Japan is the best place for just that. But living in Japan long term is not viable, unless you have the mindset of iron will, because of zero acceptance of foreigners by the Japanese people. Your friends will accept you, but the public never will (CDwag, Trash Taste Podcast) paraphrased. He wrapped up by setting the scene of a friend of his who has lived in Japan for 15 years, and no matter how great is Japanese is, everyday he receives comments, about where he's from, how long he has spoken japanese, and how good he is at it. Every day for 15 years is Hell, according to CDawg, and why he spends most of his time in Japan video gaming. I support OTV's move to Japan, but I don't think everyone will stay, and there will come a time, where if OTV doesn't leave Japan and move somewhere else, other members who have little tolerance for constant annoyances will leave OTV first.

East coast cities in general are so much more walkable than west coast/midwest dities, just due to age. They were already largely laid out and developed back when walking was simply the most common mode of transportation. The rest of America (outside of old town districts) was intentionally developed to be a nightmare of never ending concrete and asphalt only navigable by car. Everything about their planning and design was dictated by the automotive industry (directly, or indirectly), with virtually no regard for pedestrians. It's truly awful (I say as a west-coaster, born and raised).

for regular sports... the sport itself is the content and there is a game either every day, every other day, every week or every other week... and sports fan watch it... and sports fan are either love the sport or are loyal to their team... if your sport is not pulling in enough audience, it is doom for commercialization... if the streamers are pulling in the crowds, then the real "sport" is streaming and not gaming...
