Daniel Paliwoda There’s a difference between standing up for yourself and completely overreacting, which is what Boo did. I understand her anger, but she went from 0 to 100 TOO quick, and I’d honestly want to get away from someone with a temper like that bc, like the girl probably thought with Boo, who knows what will set them off? Who knows what will happen when she gets set off and they’re in a room alone together? That’s not a risk worth taking for a fling.

People are saying they love this cause it’s Big Boo aka a fictional character. The reality is if you were on a date with someone just getting to know them this wouldn’t be attractive. It would show some serious aggression and anger issues, and make you wonder how they could treat you if they’re that quick to lash out and react to someone especially a stupid kid in the street. I'm not gay, but I completely disagree; if you find yourself in that situation, you have to stand up for yourself. The abusers got away with a light tap on their wrists, and are still abusing those two women on social media. I'm with Big Boo here.

All y’all are weird to act like Boo’s reaction wasn’t incredibly over the top. The correct response to some little shit is “ah ha fuck you.” And then go back to being satisfied that you’ve got somebody you like on your arm. But imagine this from a not lesbian stetting. You go to a bar, as a young lady, meet a dude, you decide to go home with him. Some random person on the streets makes a casual insult while walking by and he entirely flips his shit. That is a dangerous red flag because the words did not justify the reaction and if that person is willing to do that over that, why wouldn’t they do it to you in the future. And Boo literally does. For saying “um you ruined this night by acting irrationally angry and violent over something that was not a big deal.” My ex girlfriend used to freak out all the time about anything of this nature. Any sort of comment, any weird look, or just a man saying hello when they walked past. It is indicative of a lot of deeper issues and red flags and this girl is completely in the right for seeing it as such.
@pacificarebehavioralhealth1826

yeah i’m sure if every material condition about this scenario were different then the response would be different yes. imagine you’re a straight woman. you go to a straight bar and meet a straight man in a setting where there is no likelihood of repeated bigotry toward a specific marginalized group of people. Then your male date reacts excessively to a casual insult, and not a slur coming from ongoing historical violence. A straight man, someone who exists in a place of systemic power, exhibiting anger issues is very concerning. You know what sounds just like?…. Lesbian women, exactly.
